81 Linearity for field weakening in an interior permanent magnet machine US11829298 2007-07-27 US07759886B2 2010-07-20 Gabriel Gallegos-Lopez; Yo Chan Son; Milun Perisic; Silva Hiti
Systems and methods are disclosed to provide torque linearity in the field-weakening region for an IPM machine. The systems and methods adjust the q-axis and the d-axis components of the stator current commands of the IPM machine using a flux weakening and a torque linearity control loop respectively. Thereby, torque linearity is maintained during the field weakening region of operation of the IPM machine.

An improved method of forming and a construction for a digitally openable container closure. Included therein is a container wall having an inwardly displaceable opening panel defined by a fracturable web which has been formed by selectively displacing metal adjacent a predetermined line substantially perpendicular to the surface of the container wall and by extruding metal between substantially parallel die surfaces which are disposed at an angle to the plane of the container wall. Formed concurrently therewith is an integral inclined deflectable portion projecting outwardly from the container wall adjacent the fracturable web and which deflectable portion is adapted to effect, in response to digitally applied inwardly directed pressure, a relative displacement between the rim of the panel and the lip of the adjacent container wall to selectively strain the web and initiate fracture thereof to permit inward displacement of an opening panel of greater extent than the size of the opening formed in the container wall by the separation of said panel.
84 Method of forming a line of weakness in a multilayer laminate US32123273 1973-01-05 US3909582A 1975-09-30 BOWEN WILLIAM EDMUND
A method of forming a line of weakness in at least one but not all layers of multilayer laminate which comprises effecting relative movement between a beam of radiant energy of a particular predetermined wavelength and intensity and the laminate so that the energy is selectively relatively absorbed by the at least one layer in an amount and manner that alters the structure of the layer and thereby forms a line of weakness in the laminate. The source of radiant energy preferably is a laser. The laminate layers can be comprised of any material used in manufacturing multilayer packaging laminates such as thermoplastics, thermosets, paper and foil. Preferably, the laminate includes at least one layer of thermoplastic material. The layer that absorbs more energy can be an adhesive.

89 Apparatus for extruding resin film with weakened tear lines US32399273 1973-01-15 US3899283A 1975-08-12 WALLIS MARVIN E
In a packaging method and apparatus, a film forming head is provided with a thin lipped extruding orifice communicating with a central cavity for receiving liquid resin material therein and for extruding a molten sheet of resin film. The extruded film, while still molten, is directly applied to the articles to be packaged. To facilitate the opening of a package formed in this manner, weakened tear lines are automatically formed in the extruded plastic sheet by the provision of small obstructing pins placed at or adjacent the extruding orifice of the head. The weakened lines in the extruded film may be formed as individual easy opening tear lines, or as double tear lines in which a strip of plastic wrapping may be conveniently stripped away from the remaining resin film to facilitate removal of the wrapper. Except for the weakened tear lines, the extruded film is formed with biaxially oriented strength characteristics. The film is projected radially outwardly of the orifice from a central cavity within the head to achieve this biaxial orientation. The location of the easy tear line or lines may be selected by appropriate positioning of the flow obstructing pins relative to the extruding orifice.

93 SPATIAL INTERFERENCE MITIGATION FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION EP09747714.5 2009-05-15 EP2281374A2 2011-02-09 GOROKHOV, Alexei Y.
Techniques for transmitting and receiving data with spatial interference mitigation in a wireless network are described. In one design of transmitting data with spatial interference mitigation, a first station ( e.g., a cell) may receive spatial feedback information (SFI) from a second station ( e.g., an interfered UE) that is not communicating with the first station. The second station may also receive precoding information from a third station ( e.g., a served UE). The first station may send a data transmission to the third station based on the precoding information and the SFI in order to reduce interference to the second station. In one design, the SFI may include spatial nulling information. The first station may send the data transmission based on the spatial nulling information to steer the data transmission in a direction away from the second station.
94 METHOD OF FORMING A LINE OF WEAKENING IN THE SKIRT OF A CONTAINERCLOSURE EP95933515.9 1995-10-12 EP0784575B1 1999-12-22 HAASER, James, Dudley
A line of weakening (24) formed of spaced bridges (44) separated by slits (42) is formed in the skirt of a temperevident closure after the closure has been moulded. The line of weakening (24) is formed by a cutting operation using a knife blade (32) along the edge of which the closure is rolled without slipping. During the operation the snap-engagement band (20) of the closure is held in contact with the interior face of the skirt in transverse alignment with the knife blade (34) and the location of the line of weakening (24).

96 CARTON HAVING A PERFORATION CUT SCORE OPENING AND A CARTON BLANK FOR FORMING THE SAME EP92905288.0 1991-09-18 EP0500930A1 1992-09-02 KUCHENBECKER, Morris, W.; MAROSZEK, Raymond, V.
97 Inverted Pyramid Multi-Die Package Reducing Wire Sweep And Weakening Torques US11767534 2007-06-25 US20080029885A1 2008-02-07 Avraham Meir; Doron Teomim; Alex Shevachman; Reuven Levitanus; Valery Israilit
An inverted pyramid multi-die package provides, for each die pad on an upper die, a rigid support underneath extending to a substrate. Such configuration reduces both the wire sweep and weakening torques. A lower die, smaller than the upper die in at least one dimension, may be positioned between the upper die and the substrate. The two dice may or may not contact each other, or they may contact each other via an intermediate spacer. The lower die may be a flip chip. The multi-die package may be fashioned without the lower die or the substrate. Wire sweep is reduced, because the second die is smaller than the upper die in at least one dimension. Weakening torques are reduced, because spacers at the periphery of the upper die absorb the impact of bonding wires thereon.
