Finally, an appropriate corrective action is taken to change the operation of the compressor in response to the detection of rotating stall.

The incident angle of the blades of the axial diffuser is so determined that a value provided by subtraction from the blade incident angle(beta G) by the incident angle(alpha G) of treating liquid is equal to or below the specific angle defined according to the kind of the treating liquid. The axial diffuser is formed by fixing the blades in a casing(20) to regulate the treating liquid discharged from an impeller(10) supported to a rotating shaft(22). The incident angle of the blade is 3 to 10 angular degrees, and the value subtracting the incident angle of the treating liquid from the incident angle of the blade -1 to 8 angular degrees.
