摘要 | A highly active, anhydrous nickel fluoride which is resistant to pickup of atmospheric water and is superior as a battery element in high energy lithium-nickel fluoride batteries, is produced by passing anhydrous gaseous hydrogen fluoride over amorphous basic nickel carbonate at a temperature of between 150*-300* C. and preferably 225*-250* C. | ||||||
权利要求 | 2. The process of claim 1 in which the reaction is carried out by continuously flowing anhydrous gaseous hydrogen fluoride over amorphous nickel carbonate in finely powdered form. 3. The process of claim 1 in which the reaction is carried out in an iron-free reactor so as to prevent iron impurities from contaminating the nickel fluoride produced during the reaction. 4. The process of claim 1 in which the reaction is carried out at a temperature of abouT 225*-250* C. 5. The process of claim 3 wherein the iron-free reactor is a copper reactor. |
