摘要 PURPOSE:To make a welding flux small in specific density and reusable by adding a specified ratio of water glass having a specific concn. and water to flux raw material powder having a specific grain size or below to prepare a slurry and spraying and spheroidizing the slurry then subjecting the same to hot wind drying and calcination. CONSTITUTION:100-400cc Water glass having 35-45 deg. Be' concn. as a binder and 150-300cc water per 1kg flux raw material powder having =95wt% are added to said powder to prepare the slurry. Such slurry is sprayed from a small-diameter nozzle and is dried by hot wind before the slurry drops, by which the powder having the uniform grain size and surface characteristic is obtd. The welding flux is made smaller in bulk specific gravity and the weldability thereof is improved when such powder is further subjected to the calcination. The flux is made hardly collapsible during use and is made repeatedly usable.
