| 摘要 | PURPOSE:To simply and rapidly form the rack teeth for the steering of a car around a rack rod by shifting the rack rod and a rotary cutter along the pitch line. CONSTITUTION:A hob cutter 40 is arranged so that an angle of alpha is formed with respect to the axis line X of a rack rod and shifted in revolution in the direction of arrow. The length of the hob cutter 40 is made equal to the distance between the right and left standard rack pitch points 14-14' so as to have the lead angle having the distance P0' between 13' and 14' as pitch. The relative revolution of the rack rod is set constant between 14'-7', reduced speed between 6'-0, stop between 1'-0-1'', acceleration speed between 1''-6'', and constant speed between 7''- 14'' so that rack teeth is formed along the pitch line (a). With such constitution, the rack teeth can be formed simply and rapidly. | ||||||
