摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight leaf plate type hinge having high strength by punching a flat plate then subjecting the same to cold forging thereby forming shaft cylinders and leaf plates with one piece of metal.
CONSTITUTION: A flat plate blank material is punched to obtain a hinge working plate having a leaf plate part 11a and shaft cylinder working parts 11b. This plate is grasped between a male die 12 and a female die 13, and a punch 14 is driven to the end face of the cylinder shaft working plate parts 11b, whereby it is upset and cold forged. Thereby, the upset material is moved toward the shaft cylinder forming parts 12a, 13a and shaft cylinder working bulged parts 11b' are formed at the end of the leaf plate part 11a. Thence, the parts 11b' is pierced to form shaft insertion holes 11c, and mounting holes 11d is pierced at proper places of the leaf plate part 11a. By this method, the leaf plate type hinge 11" of which the shaft cylinder parts 11b" and leaf plate 11a consist of one piece of metal is obtained.
