798,791. Orientating caramels. SOC. G. D. IN ACCOMANDITA SEMPLICE. Dec. 31, 1956 [Dec. 30, 1955; April 11, 1956], No. 39705/56. Class 78 (1). Caramels 29 are thrown into hopper 27 and fall into the round bottomless pockets 23 of rotary disc 21 which advances each caramel step by step along support 24 positioned beneath the disc and out of the hopper till the caramel slides between guides 32 so as to be orientated squarely to be wrapped at 33. Alternately, the orientation may be accomplished by inclining the support 24 (Fig. 4) so that the caramel settles to rest against stationary guide 44 as it advances. The circular pockets 23 may be flared. The guides 32 may pass through slots formed in the disc. |
