摘要 | PURPOSE: To facilitate an air-gap adjustment when a wearing coat abrades down by interposing a compression spring means between an adjustment ring and that part of an entrainment ring which connects to or butts against the back of the adjustment ring. CONSTITUTION: A brake unit holds an air gap (a) defined between its coil support member 1 and an armature plate 2, and while being not operated is kept not working by a compression spring 6 that works between an entrainment ring 5 connected to the armature plate 2 and an adjustment ring 4. On energization, a magnetic coil placed in the coil support member 1 attracts the armature plate 2 against the compression spring 6 to render the air gap (a) zero, whereon torque is transmitted from a driveshaft 3 to be decelerated to the support member 1, which is fixed to an engine wall or the like, via a flange 10, a cylindrical screw 7, an annular spring 8 and the armature plate 2, and the driveshaft 3 is decelerated. In conformance to wear, O-rings 18 hold the adjustment ring 4 at a corresponding new position, and the compression spring 6 returns it continuously to hold the air gap (a) constant.
