The shape changing mechanism 23 is a pressing member to change the volume of the mattress 20 by pressing side parts of the mattress 20 from vertical direction. PURPOSE: To obtain an integrated water bed mattress by putting all together a rigid backing, a cushion and a cover, and engaging a hook and a loop fastener strip to enchain them. CONSTITUTION: A cover 20 is made of an appropriate foaming material and composed of plural parts, and the central part of the cover is formed by a top 26. The top 26 is made of a material having a fairly lower density compared with the one of parts 22 and 24. Further, the cushion part 28 is made slightly thicker than the part 24 to make it fitted for receiving a water container 18 which is not fully filled with water. By preparing this mattress in such a way, the cushion made form the foaming material and the water container give a comfortableness of the most appropriate sleeve together with a good external shape. A bottom layer 14 is set up to the bottom of a tray 12 by a both face adhesive strip 15, at the circumference of where a removable combined strip 16 is provided. PURPOSE: To generate a regulated instability even in a stably static state for a person in an upright attitude by forming one surface of many coupled liquid- filled compartments in a conical top state, raising a pressure in the compartment higher than 0.5 bar, and assembling a mat. CONSTITUTION: The mat comprises interconnected liquid-filled compartments with stable elastomeric compartment walls spread over by a liquid. The mat is designed so that a ratio of a static tensile stress in the wall to a tensile stress brought by a dynamic elongation is smaller than about 0.5 and a pressure of the compartment becomes higher than 0.5 bar. The elastomer has a short relaxation time of a range of 5 to 20% per time decade, and a resilient module of a 300% elongation in a range of about 50 to 110 kp/cm 2. An elastic member layer 19 is mounted on the upper plane of the said base plate 18 as a cushion layer. The elastic member layer 19 is composed of a sponge rubber layer 19a, and a skin layer 20 covering its periphery and surface. A lump body 21 serving as a dynamic fixed box is suspended through a pushing plate 22 and a rubber elastic supporting member 23 (a sealing material as an elastic supporting means) from the lower plane layer of the base plate 18 as a weight. The elastic supporting member 23 is fixed to the base plate 18 using the pushing plate 22 and bolts, or by welding. Consequently, when the vibration having a fixed frequency acts onto the cushion 17, the lump body 21 works as a dynamic mass damper to prevent the cushion from being vibrated.
