A refractory composition is disclosed comprising a high purity silicon dioxide and a binder. This refractory composition may be applied by trowelling, brushing, casting, pumping and/or spraying it on a worn and/or damaged high purity silica refractory surface. A refractory castable composition is also disclosed that may be employed with forms. Further, an essentially non-slumping, sprayable refractory castable composition that is applied without the use of forms is provided. The sprayable refractory castable composition comprises (a) a tempered, pumpable first component comprising (i) a high purity silicon dioxide and a binder, and (ii) water, if needed, to achieve a pumpable consistency, and (b) a second component comprising a flocculating agent. The flocculating agent is added to the first component for achieving installation of the sprayable refractory composition in an amount to prevent slumping of the sprayable refractory castable composition. |

A remediation agent and process produces a treated water that meets discharge standards required by local regulations and generates stabilized waste which does not require further treatment prior to disposal. The composition of the treatment chemical is applicable to the treatment of industrial wastewaters and more specifically those from automobile production, metal finishing, metal processing, oil refineries, textiles, wood treatment, tannery, circuit board manufacturing, and other miscellaneous industrial waste streams from operations such as paints, coatings, adhesives, soap and detergents, chemicals, and food processing. |

Water-soluble copolymers and terpolymers as stabilizers for aqueous building material systems and water-based paint and coating systems are described. Advantages of the copolymers and terpolymers used according to the invention compared to conventional products are firstly the very good stabilizing properties of the building material systems or water-based paint and coating systems produced correspondingly and secondly the fact that the viscosity of the systems is barely increased, so that these have excellent processability. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mixture for the production of a glass fiber reinforced concrete molding, to produce the molding using the mixture and to provide an apparatus for the production. SOLUTION: This mixture contains, based on 100 kg cement, 0-20 kg sand, 0-30 kg rock powder, 10-30 kg fine sand, 80-130 kg water, 0.5-2.5 kg polymer fibers, 0.5-2.0 kg plastic filler, 2.0-5.0 kg glass fibers of 10-20 mm length and 7-25 kg retainer. When a molding is produced using the mixture, the mixture is dehydrated with a three-dimensionally deformable latex cloth disposed on a screen base. |

The invention relates to water-soluble copolymers and terpolymers used as stabilizers for aqueous building material systems and water-based painting and coating systems. The advantage of these copolymers and terpolymers, as used according to the invention, compared to conventional products is due, on the one hand, to the very good stabilizing properties of the correspondingly produced building material systems or water-based painting and coating systems and, on the other hand, to the fact that the viscosity of the systems is hardly increased so that they have an excellent processability. |
