61 Lifting and Moving Device US12949079 2010-11-18 US20110272650A1 2011-11-10 Jerry Behar
A lifting and moving device for assisting a user in applying a force to an implement to move a load. In the practice of the invention, the user moves the load, at least in part, by leaning or shifting their weight. One embodiment of the device includes a bar having a first end and a second end. A bracket is pivotally attached to the bar. The bracket is capable of being coupled to the implement. The first end of the bar acts as a fulcrum for the implement. A strap is attached to the bar and also coupled to the user. Movement of the user, such as by leaning or shifting of their weight, places the strap under tension and provides a force for moving the load. The bar, the strap, the leg, and a foot plate form a four bar linkage that is combined with the Class 1 lever.

65 Amphibious industrial landing stages which can be run aground and means for the displacement of heavy loads to the grounds US959107 1978-11-09 US4308816A 1982-01-05 Louis J. Jourdan
Amphibious landing stages or heavy loads are moved over the ground on systems of shoes. A landing stage comprises two port and starboard sets of legs fitted with shoes, which are themselves fitted with soles. Jacks are provided, to enable the sliding of a shoe on its sole, when the sole is applied to the ground, and to enable the reverse motion when the sole is raised. Other jacks either raise the legs or lower them. The legs are lodged inside lockers or wells by a simple locking device which also allows them to be removed. The stage is usable for temporary industrial installations, for wharves or jetties, serving for the displacement of very heavy loads.

A mobile storage and transport rectangular roller unit with a roller and drawbar device for use in a shelf storage system. Each unit is provided with four wheels, one adjacent each corner in a four sided frame. The roller bar is provided with pair of rollers and cooperates with a coupling member of substantially cubic shape which is pivotally mounted on the drawbar. Two transverse cross members are at the front and back of the frame and lie opposite to each other, each formed by an inverted U-section having limbs of unequal length. The coupling member is provided with a top groove to receive the shorter limb of the inverted U-section and is thereby coupled at the shorter limb of the cross member to the four sided frame.

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the transfer of concrete panels onto a transportation bed for transportation. According to the method, the transportation bed is driven to underneath the load to be transferred, the supports (1) are subsequently inclined in their transverse direction until they transfer the load onto the bed. In accordance with the invention, supports (1, 7, 6) are used, the leg members (1, 7) of which are provided with tilting joints (8, 9) in the direction of inclination, said joints being preferably fitted at the lower ends of the vertical supports (1), at the joints between the vertical supports (1) and the horizontal beams (7). The vertical supports (1) of the leg members (1, 7) of the stands (1, 7, 6) are preferably inclined by about 30° by connecting one of the stands with a pulling bar to the transportation bed and by pulling the load on the supports forward in this manner. The inclining movement of the stands is damped by a spring (15) or a shock absorber, installed between the vertical support (1) and the horizontal beam (7), whereby the concrete panels can be transferred by means of a controlled and attenuated movement onto the transportation bed.
