The diagnosis method includes the following three steps: chain dislocation/skip fault judgment, chain breakage fault judgment and chain seizure fault judgment. Accordingly, the operation can be easier and more productive than in ironing presses of the related art, in which the operator has to unfold the laundry on a lower plate, perform ironing by lowering an upper plate, take out the laundry by lifting the upper plate, and unfold the laundry again on the lower plate. Also, the ironing presses of the related art may produce creases in the laundry when the laundry put on the lower plate is taken out by the operator. In contrast, the ironing device according to the present invention allows the laundry to be automatically discharged rearward through the circumferential surface of the main roller (20) and a discharge conveyor (80). Accordingly, creasing of the ironed laundry can be prevented.
