An extensible ammunition conveyor (10) includes telescoping conveyor sections (16,18) mounting pairs of laterally spaced sprockets (28,30) adjacent the conveyor section ends. A pair of endless chains (44,46) are trained about these sprockets in coextensive, transversely spaced relation with each chain having transversely lapping run portions extending along the telescoped end portions of the conveyor sections (16,18). The sprockets (28,30) of each pair are mounted in angularly relation to provide an effectively V-shaped open trough for transversely confining cylindrical ammunition rounds (12) during conveyance motivated by driving the chains (44,46) in unison. Jointly braking and driving the chains in an appropriate direction produces powered extension and contraction of the conveyor (10).

A conveyor with at least one endless conveyor element (2, 3, 4), comprising a plurality of pusher or entraining means (7, 8, 9), which are supported by the conveyor elements and are designed to entrain objects along the conveyor. The invention is characterized in that the entraining means (7, 8, 9) are of different types and/or are arranged in groups in different types of groups (10, 11, 12) for interaction with an entraining of different objects along the conveyor. The various types of entraining means (7, 8, 9) and/or groups (10, 11, 12) of entraining means are arranged in sequential order along the conveyor. Furthermore, the distance along the conveyor between one entraining means (7, 8, 9) or one group (10, 11, 12) of entraining means and the next entraining means or group of the same type is equal for all types of entraining means (7, 8, 9) and groups (10, 11, 12) of entraining means.

A conveyor system (1) for conveying at least one product comprises at least one first conveyor (2), which is adjacent to at least one second conveyor (3) via a junction (4), wherein the conveying direction of the first conveyor (2) near the junction (4) is different from the conveying direction of the second conveyor (3) near the junction (4) as seen from above. The first conveyor (2) has a first conveying surface (6) and the second conveyor (3) has a second conveying surface (7) for supporting the product thereon. The first conveyor (2) describes at least a spiral path near the junction (4) and a central axis of the spiral first conveyor (2) extends at least substantially in vertical direction. Moving means (11-13) are provided for moving the product from the first conveyor (2) to the second conveyor (3). The moving means (11-13) comprises a push-out guide which can make a stroke for each product that passes, and/or the moving means (11-13) comprises a guide (11) which is adapted such that products are guided automatically along the guide only upon the movement of the conveying surface of the first conveyor.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and surely position a printed board at a high accuracy even with a simple constitution, without causing positional deviation or defectives of electronic components mounted on the printed board. SOLUTION: A transporting apparatus comprises a motor 7 for driving a conveyer belt 6, a positioning detector 10 to detect butting of a printed board 5 against a stopper 9, an arrival detector 11 to detect arrival of the board 5 at a specified position between a conveying start position and a target position, and a controller to control the motor 7 according to detected signals from both detects 10, 11 so as to drive the motor 7 until the printed board 5 butts against the stopper 9, when the board 5 is not carried to the target position because of the board 5 slipping on the belt 6. Thus, the printed board 5 is surely carried to the target position and positioned in a simple constitution. COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
