3 Belt US598059 1996-02-07 US5643118A 1997-07-01 Hartwig Basse
Belts (10) are known which have a main body (11) having a smooth circumferential surface (12) on which a profiling is arranged. According to the invention the profiling is formed by an envelope body (13) surrounding the circumferential surface (12) of the main body (11). The belt (10) can thus transmit heavy driving and conveying forces. The belt (10) is therefore particularly suitable as a driving or conveyor belt.
4 Apparatus for conveying the material to be sewn US029960 1987-03-25 US4727980A 1988-03-01 Moriya Ochi; Masahiro Sahashi
An apparatus for conveying an article, as during a sewing operation, includes a pair of driving pulleys supported on a first support simultaneously rotatably by an electric motor and spaced apart from each other transversely of the apparatus and a pair of driven pulleys supported simultaneously rotatably on a second support and spaced apart from each other transversely of the apparatus. A pair of first fixed intermediate pulleys and a pair of first movable intermediate pulleys are supported simultaneously rotatably on the first support below the driving pulleys and between the driving pulleys and the fixed intermediate pulleys, respectively. The second support is spaced apart from the first support longitudinally of the apparatus and the first and second supports are horizontally movable to and away from each other. A pair of second fixed intermediate pulleys and a pair of second movable intermediate pulleys are supported simultaneously rotatably on the second support below the driven pulleys and between the driven pulleys and the second fixed intermediate pulleys. The first and second movable intermediate pulleys are horizontally movable to and away from each other. The two pulleys of which each pair of intermediate pulleys consists are spaced apart from each other transversely of the apparatus. A pair of endless conveyor belts are spaced apart from each other transversely of the apparatus and are each wound around one of the driving pulleys, one of the driven pulleys and one pulley of each pair of intermediate pulleys. Each belt has an effective conveyor portion travelling horizontally from one of the driven pulleys to one of the driving pulleys upon rotation of the motor.

Also provided is a method for developing marketable information for improved plant breeding and a method for collecting data on a selected plant phenotype for rapid analysis of the effect of a genetic modification on the selected phenotype.
6 Lift conveyor with single belt having criss-cross return segments US59870 1998-04-14 US6053305A 2000-04-25 Lars Helmerson
A single endless belt lift conveyor has lower criss-cross return segments that are guided by vertically spaced guide rollers that rotate about vertical axes. The vertical guide rollers are mounted to adjacent towers spaced along a telescoping boom of the conveyor. This arrangement ensures that load carrying cleats on the belt clear each other and allows the boom to be leaned against a roof, gutter, or other supporting structure without the cleats striking the same.
7 Single and continuous flexible belt conveyor US764283 1991-09-23 US5203446A 1993-04-20 Jared Ufland
A conveyor mechanism for transporting trays utilizing a simple, single closed belt loop that is round in cross-section. The belt runs in and over a slider bed in straight sections and/or curved sections, and its upper edge extends above the slider bed so as to be exposed to the bottom of the trays whose weight gives the belt a frictional coefficient of engagement for transporting therealong. Line contact is provided between the transported trays and the topmost edge of the belt on which it is functionally balanced to limit the tipping motion of the load. The belt is kept operative by a motor, and guided in pulleys, slots or guides and guards, and thereby the load in effect "walks along the belt".

9 Carrier for carrying cylindrical object similar to nuclear fuel pellet JP14518199 1999-05-25 JPH11352282A 1999-12-24 COUZY JEAN; MARCHAND MICHEL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for carrying nearly cylindrical object such as nuclear fuel pellets lying in a row following a nearly horizontal winding path with a simple, sure and inexpensive method and also a method which the surrounding space is made free to maximum extent. SOLUTION: This carrier 20 arranges a seamless belt 26 nearly vertically and carries an object P put on the upper edge 30 along the path. A controllable guide 44 holds these objects P on the upper edge 30 of the belt 26 from the side. With this, transporting along a complex path can be done very simply, surely and at low cost with a single belt and also blocking can be reduced. Even if the size of the objects P to be carried is changed, adaptation is easy. COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO

12 Device for transferring bars from a magazine into the guiding channel of a feeder for feeding a machine tool US10051102 2002-01-22 US20020098073A1 2002-07-25 Andrea Drei; Silvano Ravaioli
A device for transferring bars from a magazine into the guiding channel of a feeder for feeding a machine tool, the magazine comprising an inclined surface for supporting the bars having a side for unloading bars into the channel, adjusters for adjusting inclination of the supporting surface, elements for retaining bars on the surface, and bar pickers which are actuated to disengage the lowermost bar from the retention elements and move it to a level for falling into the channel, and actuators for simultaneously actuating the adjusters and the retention elements for inclination and position adjustments suitable to accommodate variations in the diameter of the bars to be transferred.
13 Conveying system for conveying substantially cylindrical objects such as nuclear fuel pellets US313482 1999-05-17 US6132297A 2000-10-17 Jean Couzy; Michel Marchand
For conveying in single file and in a lying position substantially cylindrical objects such as nuclear fuel pellets (P) in a substantially horizontal, non-linear path, a conveying system (20) is proposed, which comprises an endless belt (26) running over pulleys having substantially vertical axes. Regulatable guides (44) maintain the objects laterally on the upper edge (30) of the endless belt (26).

17 Sewn cloth transfer device JP6478786 1986-03-25 JPS62255305A 1987-11-07 OCHI MORIYA; SAHASHI MASAHIRO
PURPOSE: To automatically transport hard cloth and to correspond to the change between processes by providing a couple of driving and intermediate pulleys and a couple of driven and intermediate pulleys at both shaft receiving plates and a couple of endless belts on a group of front/rear pull between receiving plates and so connecting the receiving plates as to be free in expansion. CONSTITUTION: When a main switch 64 is turned on, both endless belts 59, 60 are operated at the same time and even if sewn cloth 62' hard and long in longitudinal direction such as sheet and artificial leather is so installed as to straddle both belts 59, 60, both the belts 59, 60 are transported at the same speed through a timing belt 24 and discrepancy and falling off resulting from the difference in speed are not caused during transportation. And when the sewn cloth 62' contacts with a sensitive plate 61 and rotates for displacement, the belts 59, 60 are stopped by turning off a microswitch 63. Next when the whole length of the device is shorter than the distance between processes, the opposing interval between right and left crosspieces is expanded and right and left intermediate pulley tables 43, 44 are also expanded by the tension of both belts and then adjustment threads 41, 42, 45, 46 are fastened after checking the tensions of both belts so as to stable the device. Further when it is long, any of the receiving plates is contracted. COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
