221 Viscous fluid dispenser, integral stored nozzle package and method EP04250315.1 2004-01-21 EP1557369A1 2005-07-27 Whitney, Peter M.

A viscous fluid dispenser (10), comprises a compressible body (12) having a substantially tubular profile and comprising an interior fluid holding cavity (26) and a head (18) comprising a cap structure (20) operatively connected to an operative end (14) of the compressible body (12) and a nozzle (24) communicatively connected through the cap structure (20) to form a continuous off-center passage through the head (18) from the interior fluid holding cavity (26) to an exterior fluid expressing side. A fluid dispenser package comprises a compressible body (12) having a substantially tubular profile with a cleft (44) within the profile extending longitudinally to the body (12) profile from a top end (40) of the profile to a location intermediate along the profile to form a tapering cleft (44) within the body (12) profile; and a head (18) comprising a cap structure (20) and a nozzle (24) communicatively connected through the cap to form a continuous passage (36) through the head (18) from an interior fitting side to an exterior fluid expressing side, wherein the head (18) is removably stored at the body (12) top end (40) in a connection reversed to an operating connection with the nozzle (24) cradled in the cleft (44) within the tubular profile of the flexible body (12). A method of applying a viscous fluid to a target area comprises positioning a compressible viscous fluid dispenser (10) comprising an angled dispensing nozzle (24) at an angle from a perpendicular of the dispenser (10) to the target area and compressing the dispenser (10) to express viscous fluid directly onto the target.

222 VERSCHLUSSELEMENTEBAND EP02785214.4 2002-10-15 EP1465811B1 2005-05-18 VERMEE, Frans; LARIN, Leonid
The invention relates to a closure element band (10) comprised of a multitude of in-line closure elements (12) provided for closing tubular packs. The closure elements (12) are connected to one another with material fit in a longitudinal direction whereby forming a one-piece closure element band (10). Each closure element (12) has a clamping finger section (14) with a clamping finger (22), a clamping slot section (18) with a clamping slot (28) and a separating zone (38) for detaching the closure element (12) from the closure element band (10). The clamping finger (22) can be inserted, in a longitudinal direction, into the clamping slot (28) in order to form a closure element ring. The clamping finger (22) and the clamping slot (28) have detent elements, which enable the closure element ring to be tightened and prevents the clamping finger (22) from coming out of the clamping slot (28). The closure elements can be joined by the clamping finger and the clamping slot in order to form a ring. To this end, the closure element band material, itself, has to have a sufficient level of tensile strength so that even corrosion-resistant plastics can be chosen as the material for the closure element band.

224 FLIP-TOP BEVERAGE CAN SANITARY COVER EP01932620.6 2001-04-26 EP1390269A1 2004-02-25 OLIVAR, Dante
A sanitary, flexible cover ( 10 ) is wrapped around the top of a flip-top can ( 12 ). The cover ( 10 ) comprises a round disc ( 13 ), a concave rim ( 14 ) around the perimeter of the disc, and a flared skirt ( 15 ) extending from the concave rim. The cover is formed by molding or pressing. The cover is applied to the can by heat shrinking, gluing, or mechanically tight fitting. The top of the can is protected by the disc ( 13 ) and the shoulder of the can is protected by the skirt ( 15 ). The concave rim ( 14 ) is engaged around a lip ( 16 ) of the can to retain the cover, which can be easily removed prior to drinking. In addition, there may be a plurality of these covers ( 24 ) connected by links ( 25 ).
225 Binding clip EP00115218.0 2000-07-13 EP1069050A2 2001-01-17 HOSHINO, Takamichi c/o Max Co. Ltd

A binding clip formed from a flat plate material. The binding clip comprises an opening (10) at one end, a receiving portion (11), a pair of leg portions (12a,12b), and a pair of engaging projections (18a,18b). The receiving portion is for receiving an object to be bound in the depths of the opening. The leg portions (12a,12b) define the opening and are adapted to be crossed with each other thereby to bind the object to be bound. The engaging projections (18a,18b) are bulgingly formed at portions continuing from the opening to the receiving portion (11). The engaging projections (18a,18b) are adapted to overlap each other and project into the receiving portion (11) when the leg portions (12a,12b) are crossed.

In known analyzers, test elements are supplied in the form of a stack retained in a cartridge. However, the presence of the cartridge has proved to be not entirely satisfactory due to their expense, the difficulty in determining when they are "empty", and also the problems associated with supplying lables giving the correct information relating to the test elements in a particular cartridge. Described herein is a stack of test elements which are not housed in a cartridge and a method for forming such a stack. A stack (8B) is formed of heat-fusible plastic slide elements (10B, 10'B) which are temporarily and non-destructively fused together so that the stack (8B) can be used without the need for a cartridge. Furthermore, the test elements (10B, 10'B) have one of their edges (16B) colored, the other edges (18B) remaining uncolored so that a bar code (200, 202, 204, 206) can be formed due to simple rotation of each test element in the stack (8B) prior to fusing the elements (10B, 10'B) together.

230 Complementary and releasable linked containers; process for making and/or packaging the same EP89118698.3 1989-10-08 EP0372195A3 1990-06-27 Panzetti, Franco

In accordance with this process of making and/or packaging the containers of liquid, formally or functionally complementary are connected joined, at least in pairs, in a releasable fashion, for independent use. Form, size and volume ratios between the mother or bigger container (1, 1′, 1˝) and the son or smaller member (2, 2′, 2˝) is comprised between 1/30 and 1/3, whereby the bigger container (1, 1′, 1˝) may receive, therein, completely flash, the smaller container(2, 2′, 2˝), to provide for it at least a partial packaging. the mother or bigger container (1, 1′, 1˝) and the son or smaller member (2, 2′, 2˝) are included in the same package in the same room during transport, stoking and the like and are handled as a single piece.

The machining of small thin pieces in an apparatus or a machine requires that those small pieces are properly introduced, one after the other. This is why the small pieces (7) are provided with traversing holes (8) which are exactly piled on top of each other and filled with an elastic material having a relatively low shearing resistance. The filling material may be for example wax.
