Apparatus for stowing and deploying stores from air and marine craft (FIG. 2) in which the stores 28 are stowed on a modular stowage structure, such as pallets 32, with releasable locking devices 10 securing the pallets to the craft. Further releasable locking devices 29 and restraining means 30 are arranged to secure the stores to cradles 14 on respective associated pallets. The pallets and cradles are adapted to permit, upon release of the respective further releasable locking devices 29, movement by the effect of gravity of the stores to effect deployment of the stores. The stowage structure may be mounted on a ramp on the deck of the craft or the pitch of the vessel may be adjusted to effect deployment. The structure may be releasably slung beneath a sub-surface craft and provided with a fiberglass casing to make it floatable.
9 Bandable cargo restraining device US131341 1987-12-09 US4801228A 1989-01-31 James J. Van Gompel
A device for securely restraining cargo during transport, comprising a generally planar platform member supported in spaced relation from an underlying floor, and having an upper load bearing surface for receiving a cargo load thereupon, and an upright member being adjoined to one end of said platform member for effecting restraining contact with the adjacent side of the load seated on said platform member; said upright member including a generally planar member facing said load which is provided with a plurality of vertically spaced horizontal parallel slots therethrough, whereby straps may be passed beneath said platform member and then about the load seated thereupon and securely fastened in contact with said load by being passed through a horizontal slot at said upright member in accordance with the height of the said load seated on said platform member.
10 Submarine weapon dolly with self stowing bands US829262 1986-02-14 US4685412A 1987-08-11 Robert M. Harris; Neil G. Anderson
A weapon dolly is disclosed for use in a submarine to handle weapons such as torpedos or the like. The dolly includes a base section having an arcuate weapon supporting surface formed from light composite material having a recess formed therein. A composite arcuate band is movable between a weapon clamping position above the base section and a stowed position slidably received within the base section below the weapon supporting surface. Arcuate links and clamp means with an associated positive locking mechanism are provided for clamping the weapon between the band and the base and for quickly releasing the weapon for movement into a launching tube or the like.

14 BANDABLE CARGO RESTRAINING DEVICE. EP84902645 1984-06-21 EP0148900A4 1985-11-07 VAN GOMPEL JAMES J
Unless a cargo load is adequately secured within its vehicular carrier, motion of the vehicle, especially during acceleration and deceleration, tends to shift the cargo often resulting in damage to the cargo and/or the carrier. A device for securely restraining cargo during transport includes generally planar platform member (12) supported in spaced relation from an underlying floor, and has an upper load bearing surface (14) for receiving cargo load (16) thereupon. An upright member (20) is adjoined to one end of the platform member for effecting restraining contact with the adjacent side of the load (16) seated on the platform member (12). The upright member (20) includes a generally planar member (22) facing the load (16) which is provided with a plurality of vertically spaced horizontal parallel slots (24, 24a, 26, 28, and 28a) therethrough. Straps (30, 32) may be passed beneath the platform member (12) and then about the load (16) seated thereupon and securely fastened in contact with the load by being passed through a horizontal slot (24, 24a, 26, 28, and 28a) at the upright member in accordance with the height of the load (16) seated on the platform member (12).
