PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for image formation which, in the formation of an image by controlling the operation of a predetermined control object based on data on the remaining capacity stored in a memory IC, can properly conduct the control of the operation based on the data on the remaining capacity even when normal data could not be recorded in a memory IC, e.g., due to turn-off of a power supply of an apparatus body in recording the data on the remaining capacity in the memory IC. SOLUTION: The remaining capacity of consumables is divided into a plurality of remaining capacity ranges H i (where i=1 to n). A plurality of memory areas corresponding respectively to the remaining capacity ranges are set in the memory IC. Data on the remaining capacity is recorded in the memory area corresponding to the remaining capacity range to which the data on the remaining capacity belongs. When the data on the remaining capacity became changed from the remaining capacity range H i to the next remaining capacity range H i+1, data is rendered unwritable in the memory area corresponding to the previous remaining capacity range H i. When the data on the remaining capacity read from the memory area which is not yet in the unwritable state was judged to be no normal remaining capacity data, the data on the remaining capacity recorded in the memory area which was lastly brought to the unwritable state is read.
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stencil printing with stable print density from the time of starting a printing process, in a stencil printing method for performing the stencil printing using various kinds of inks having varying volatility and viscosity.
SOLUTION: Information indicating the volatility and viscosity of ink is stored in a storage means 8 of an ink container 10, and the stored information indicating the volatility and viscosity of the ink is read out. A suspension time lasting from the suspension of a stencil printing operation to its resumption, is measured and a printing pressure is controlled in accordance with information on the suspension time and the volatility and viscosity of the ink.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform printing in response to the purpose of a user when a multi-color printing is performed. SOLUTION: A stencil original paper for which a plate-making process is applied based on printing data is wound around a replaceable plate cylinder. Then, a printing paper is pressed to the plate cylinder, and a stencil printing process is performed by a stencil printing device. This printing control device controls such the stencil printing device. In such a printing control device together with image data to indicate an image which becomes a printing objective, printing sequence information is output to the stencil printing device. In this case, the printing sequence information indicates a page sequence for the printing process using the image data, an ink color of the plate cylinder to be used, and the replacing timing for the plate cylinder. The printing sequence information determines a sequence for the printing for each page by detecting the ink color included in the image data, based on a printing demand conforming to a page order and a printing demand to reduce the replacement frequency for the plate cylinder from a user.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent as much as possible a plate cylinder under the state being left from being stained by ink. SOLUTION: A first plate cylinder 25 and a second plate cylinder 26 are respectively rotatably provided at positions, which are a part at the predetermined angle of an impression cylinder 27 from each other and are near the outer peripheral surface of the impression cylinder. On each of the outer peripheral surfaces of the first plate cylinder 25 and of the second plate cylinder 26, a plate seating part 28 having a base paper clamping part 29 and, at the same time, a screen 30 is provided on the outer peripheral surface except the plate seating part 28. In the inner space of each of the plate cylinders 25 and 26, an inner press roll 33 is provided. During a printing action, the respective plate cylinders 25 and 26 turn under the state that the turning angle phase difference of 180° is kept together with the impression cylinder 27. Together with the turning of the respective plate cylinders 25 and 26, the respective inner press rolls 33 turn on the inner peripheral surfaces of the respective screens 30 so as to supply inks 38 to the screens 30 for this stencil printing equipment At the end of the printing action, the turnings of the respective plate cylinders 25 and 26 come to a stop under the state that the respective plate seating parts 28 of the respective plate cylinders 25 and 26 take just lateral positions. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send a stencil base sheet engraved without causing a mounting fault or a conveying fault to a plurality of printing plate cylinders. SOLUTION: A printing plate engraving unit is constituted to engrave a stencil base sheet in a frame 6. The frame 6 is supported to a body 1 side by a guide so as to be laterally movable. The frame 6 is driven by a drive unit to move along the guide. The drive unit has a rack gear 25 disposed along a moving direction of the frame 6 at the body 1 side, and a drive motor 21 for rotating a gear 26 engaged with the gear 25 at the frame 6 side. A position of the moving frame 6 is detected by a position detecting means. The means has position sensors 31 at the body 1 side, and a shielding plate 32 for shielding a light emitting unit and a photodetector of the sensor 31 at the frame 6 side. The frame 6 is driven by the drive unit and moved along the guide, and the position corresponding to each plate cylinder is detected by the means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
