2 Electronic device keyboard with pivot bar tilt mechanism US583414 1996-01-05 US5629832A 1997-05-13 Charles A. Sellers
A keyboard structure is supported on the top side of a base housing portion of an electronic device, representatively a compact portable computer such as a notebook or laptop computer. When the lid portion of the computer is opened, the keyboard is in a storage/transport orientation in which it is generally parallel to the bottom wall of the base housing. With the lid portion opened, and the computer resting on a horizontal support surface, the keyboard may be used in this storage/transport orientation. The keyboard is supported on the base housing by a pair of elongated pivot rods that also permit the keyboard to be translated forwardly relative to the base housing and be downwardly pivoted to a forwardly and downwardly sloped tilted use orientation in which the keyboard is disposed generally forwardly of the base housing, with a lower front edge portion of the keyboard positioned forwardly of the front side of the base housing and downwardly engaging the support surface upon which the computer rests. In this manner, the notebook computer keyboard is disposed at an angle and elevation emulating the use orientation of a separate, larger desktop computer keyboard. When it is desired to transport the notebook computer to a different location, its forwardly and downwardly tilted keyboard is upwardly tilted and rearwardly returned to its storage/transport orientation to permit closure of the computer lid housing portion.
3 Notebook computer keyboard with slot-supported sliding pin tilt mechanism US260706 1994-06-16 US5539615A 1996-07-23 Charles A. Sellers
A keyboard structure is supported on the top side of a base housing portion of a compact portable computer such as a notebook or laptop computer. In one keyboard embodiment pins on the keyboard are slidably received in slots on upstanding support brackets on the base housing, and in another keyboard embodiment the keyboard is movably secured to the base housing by pivotable support bars. When the lid portion of the computer is opened, the keyboard is in a storage/transport orientation in which it is generally parallel to the bottom wall of the base housing. With the lid portion opened, and the computer resting on a horizontal support surface, the keyboard may be used in this storage/transport orientation. The keyboard is supported on the base housing in a manner also permitting the keyboard to be moved forwardly relative to the base housing and be downwardly pivoted to a forwardly and downwardly sloped tilted use orientation in which the keyboard is disposed generally forwardly of the base housing, with a lower front edge portion of the keyboard downwardly engaging the support surface upon which the computer rests. In this manner, the notebook computer keyboard is disposed at an angle and elevation emulating the use orientation of a separate desktop computer keyboard.
4 HYGIENIC PRINTER CABINET US15736679 2016-06-14 US20180194150A1 2018-07-12 Robert SMITH; Salhadin OMER
An inkjet printer cabinet for use in a hygienic environment includes a housing formed by a base, a top and one or more walls extending between the base and the top. The housing defines an interior configured for receipt of components of an inkjet printer. The housing defines one or more apertures, each aperture providing access to at least one of the components via the aperture. The housing incorporates one or more features adapted to reduce at least one of the accumulation of unwanted matter on a surface of the housing and the accumulation of unwanted matter within the interior of the housing.
5 Image forming apparatus and image forming method US11640316 2006-12-18 US20070292187A1 2007-12-20 Eiichi Hanazato
An image forming apparatus includes: conveyance part that conveys, along a conveyance path, continuous paper in which fold lines are disposed per constant size; a detector that is disposed in a detection position in the middle of the conveyance path and detects whether or not a fold line in the continuous paper at the detection position is a mountain fold or a valley fold; and a memory that stores predetermined numbers of conveyance steps per size of one sheet of the continuous paper, wherein a leading edge of the continuous paper is loaded to a preset reference position, the number of conveyance steps corresponding to the size of one sheet of the continuous paper is read from the memory, the continuous paper is conveyed by the number of conveyance steps, and the fold line is aligned with the detection position of the detector.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of feeding various continuous paper having a different size for every one paper sheet, making autoloading so as to correctly detect a fold of the continuous paper sheet with a mountain or valley detecting part, and enhancing convenience.
SOLUTION: When various continuous paper sheets 2 having a different size for every one paper sheet is set to the printing device 1, the fold of the continuous paper sheet is set to the detecting position of a mountain or valley detector 20 based on a table stored in a feeding step number storage part 30A of a control part 30, and in this state, the fold is detected whether it is a mountain fold or a valley fold. The swing starting direction of a swing arm 22 is determined based on the detected results of the mountain or valley detector 20.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
