A blank delivery system for use in a machine for forming a container from a blank sheet of material is described herein. The blank delivery system includes a blank loading assembly that includes a plurality of blank hoppers. Each blank hopper is configured to hold a plurality of blanks for forming a different type of container. A blank transfer assembly is coupled to each blank hopper of the plurality of blank hoppers. The blank transfer assembly is configured to convey the blanks from each blank hopper to a container forming system of the machine.

A container formed from the sheet material blank and a method of forming the container is also described. The method involves the use of a mandrel cap including a bearing surface (102) and a bridging surface portion (112) substantially flush with said bearing surface (102), and extending between recessed surface portions (104) at respective opposite sides of said bridging surface portion (112).

A container formed from a blank sheet of material. The container includes a plurality of panels that are coupled together along substantially parallel fold lines and that include a first major panel and a second major panel. The plurality of panels form a plurality of sides of the container and define a cavity with a bottom and a top. An outer bottom flap is coupled to the first major panel and has a plurality of edges, and an inner bottom flap is coupled to the second major panel. The container also includes a plurality of flanges where each flange is coupled to one edge of the outer bottom flap. When the container is assembled, the inner bottom flap is positioned adjacent to the cavity bottom and the outer bottom flap is positioned adjacent to the inner bottom flap in a face-to-face relationship forming a bottom of the container. Each flange is folded and coupled to an outer surface of one side of the container.
