The invention relates to a blade holder for sharpening and fining down a substrate, having a handle, a recess with a recess chamber (5) for a blade (2), wherein the blade has a larger blade side surface (11) and, behind with respect to the cutting direction, a narrow side (12) with a cutting edge (8), and having a positioning aide for positioning the blade holder on the substrate, wherein the positioning aide has a distancing device (7) by means of which the blade (8) can be arranged in a distanced position in the recess in such a manner that the blade can be positioned with the cutting edge thereof distanced from the substrate for the processing of the substrate. In addition, the invention relates to a method and a blade for the blade holder. A specific advantage is a relief (23) produced by grinding in the cutting direction (s) in front of the cutting edge (8) in the blade side surface facing the substrate when the blade is in the operational position. The relief is arranged in a cutting order behind the cutting edge. The relief is introduced into a recess in the blade side surface, thereby reducing the friction of the blade on the substrate and thus the force required for displacing the grooving cutter across the substrate. It furthermore enables the blade to "stick" to the substrate when a smooth substrate is treated.

[Problems to be Solved] The object is to form incisions with improved uniform depth and shape in a coating film formed on an object having a curved surface with a plurality of curvatures or a free-form curved surface.

[Means to Solve the Problems] A cutting tool 100 having a plurality of blades, includes: a plurality of shaft parts 31 and 32 having blades 50 at respective one ends and projections 33 and 34 at other positions; a shaft-receiving part 40 having cylindrical parts 41 and 42 fitting to portions of the shaft parts 31 and 32; a guide part 20 having receiving parts 21 for the projections 33 and 34 extending in one direction; and stretchable elastic bodies 60 positioned between the blades 50 and the shaft-receiving part 40, wherein the projections 33 and 34 are movably fitted to the respective receiving parts 21. An excessive force coming from a coating surface is dispersed by stretches of the elastic bodies 60, and the projections 33 and 34 are moved within the respective receiving parts 21 such as slits, thus restricting lateral displacement of the blades.

36 INTEGRATED LABEL REMOVER EP12848282.5 2012-11-05 EP2776218A1 2014-09-17 MUELLER, Gerald E.; PACKARD, Joy A.; CRUTCHLEY, Shaelyn D.
To assist in the reuse and repurposing of packaging and others materials, the present disclosure provides an integrated label remover that allows for quick and easy removal of media (e.g., labels, UPC codes) from a box or other packaging material (e.g., a protective envelope). The label remover utilizes a micro blade to score or cut around the label and a larger lifting blade that allows a user to easily detach the edge of the media for removal. The micro blade can cut to a micro layer thickness while preserving the integrity of the box. This micro layer cut provides access to the area between the media and the material, so that the lifting blade can be inserted to disrupt any adhesive or other means of affixation.
