Handles, apparatus devices, and methods for clamping and using an extra handle onto fishing rods that provides enhanced leverage while holding the existing elongated handle on the rod between clamps on the extra handle, as well as being used for carrying the rod before and after it is being used. The extra handle has bent member between two clamp ends with an inner generally wide flat smooth face, and lower and upper smooth perimeter edge surfaces, that provide a comfortable surface against the back of the hand of the fisherman and helps provide leverage to the fisherman while fishing with the rod and carrying the rod before and after use. |

A paint brush with a modified handle features a handle that is elongated in comparison to a conventional paint brush, and provides hooks for hanging the brush on the rim of a paint can. The lower end of the handle provides a threaded socket for affixing the brush on the end of a painting pole, enabling quick and easy touch-ups of any spots high above the floor or scaffold that were missed. |

An apparatus is provided for mounting to a work tool shaft to facilitate and reduce stress in the use of the tool. The apparatus includes a mounting portion adapted for receiving the work tool shaft and a handle mounted to the mounting portion. The handle includes an elongated portion offset from the work tool shaft and adapted for gripping by a user of the tool. The handle elongated portion is disposed, at least in part, intermediate the mounting portion and the work tool head and is substantially in line with the tool shaft. The mounting portion is adapted so that it can slide along the work tool shaft when no leverage is exerted on the handle and can firmly hold the work tool shaft when leverage is exerted on the handle. An adjustment assembly is provided for adjusting the sliding resistance of the mounting portion on the work tool shaft. A brake is adapted to hold the mounting portion in a fixed position along the length of the work tool shaft when leverage is applied to the handle and to allow the mounting portion to move along the length of the work tool shaft when the leverage is removed. |

A detachable grip is provided with bracket system that can be removably attached to a desired location along the length of a fishing rod, and that has a removable grip which attaches to the bracket. More particularly, in one embodiment the bracket girdles the fishing rod using bolts to fasten a top half of the bracket to the bottom half of the bracket. In one or more embodiments, the grip attaches to the bracket and extends in a direction away from the bracket that is substantially in a direction perpendicular to the rod. In one embodiment, the grip is attached to the bracket by a bolt, and is adapted to allow the grip to be readily detached. |

This invention relates to a broom including an elongate handle attached at one end to a head, a plurality of bristles attached to the head on a different side from the handle, and an auxiliary tool portion configured for use in any one or more of the group selected from scraping, cutting and scooping. The auxiliary tool portion is removably attached to the head and/or handle by means of a quick-release mechanism. The quick release mechanism may include a lever, skewer and stop, and the lever having a cam. The auxiliary tool portion may project forwardly from the broom and/or downwardly having a substantially rigid lower edge. |

In ice scraper includes a scraper head that is pivotally mounted onto a handle has at least one, but preferably, four different scraping edges. When the scraper edge encounters accumulated ice, the scraper head pivots forward, transmitting more of the force applied to a downward force vector, causing the scraper head to pivot into a position that increase the angle of the scraper head and edge to the ice, thereby more readily removing ice. |

An article for mounting to a support structure via a fastener-includes a molded body made from a first thermoplastic material. The molded body has a length. The molded body also has an attachment surface spaced from the support structure and a show surface opposite the attachment surface. The article also includes a fastening insert made of a second thermoplastic material and disposed within the molded body for receiving the fastener to mount the article to the support structure. The fastening insert has a flange extending along the length of the molded body. The fastening insert also has a boss coupled to and extending from the flange and the attachment surface for receiving the fastener. The flange defines a plurality of holes with the first thermoplastic material disposed in the holes for anchoring the fastening insert in the molded body. |

A knife includes a body that includes a handle section, a substantially circular blade housing section, and a blade including a cutting edge having substantially the same radius of curvature of the blade housing. The substantially circular blade housing section extends substantially perpendicular from the handle section. The blade extends longitudinally out of the blade housing at a position substantially 180° away from the position of the handle section along the circumference of the blade housing and terminates in a sharp point. The width of the blade at the portion immediately adjacent to the blade housing and opposite the blade point is substantially equal to the diameter of the blade housing. |
