The present invention relates to a method for attaching a first element (1) of a first material to a second element of a second material by a welding process, said two materials being substantially not weldable to each other, said first element (1) being connected to a third element (3) of said second material, which third element (3) is brought in contact with said second element (2), whereafter said third element (3) is welded to said second element (2) via a throughgoing hole (4) in said first element (1), and for the purpose of providing a product with reduced weight and a method which is suited for automatic equipment, it is according to the present invention suggested that there is used a third element (3) comprising a substantially cup-shaped means (3a) having an extending collar (3b) at its open end (3c) and being arranged with a close fit in said hole (4), whereafter the bottom (3d) of said substantially cup-shaped means (3a) is welded to said second element (2).

The present invention relates to a method for attaching a first element (1) of a first material to a second element of a second material by a welding process, said two materials being substantially not weldable to each other, said first element (1) being connected to a third element (3) of said second material, which third element (3) is brought in contact with said second element (2), whereafter said third element (3) is welded to said second element (2) via a throughgoing hole (4) in said first element (1), and for the purpose of providing a product with reduced weight and a method which is suited for automatic equipment, it is according to the present invention suggested that there is used a third element (3) comprising a substantially cup-shaped means (3a) having an extending collar (3b) at its open end (3c) and being arranged with a close fit in said hole (4), whereafter the bottom (3d) of said substantially cup-shaped means (3a) is welded to said second element (2).
