101 Liquid - solids separator US10223114 2002-08-19 US20040108263A1 2004-06-10 Andrew F. Tangeman
An improved method of separation of liquids from solids. Animal manure in particular must be separated in order to further process the liquid. This improved method of separation also utilizes a slanted plate clarifier in its design. This design will also provide a means of removing some of the more soluble chemicals from the liquid. By combining the features required to process the manure the equipment will take up much less space. The unique screening material will greatly improve the service life of the device as well as reducing maintenance intervals.
102 Method of reducing emission of ammonia from animal manure, a plant for performing the method and a use of such plant US10399171 2003-08-08 US20040040516A1 2004-03-04 Jens Ostergaard Jensen
The invention relates to a method of reducing emission of ammonia from animal manure and a plant for the method and a used of such a plant. The method comprises adding to the manure of both an acid compound such as sulphuric acid, H2S04, and of oxygen, O2. The acid compound results in the pH value dropping to below 7.0 whereby the emission of ammonia is substantially limited. The oxygen results in a very high activity of bacteria transforming organic nitrogen compounds to in-organic compounds that are possible for plants to assimilate when manure is spread in fields. Surprisingly, it has also should to be the case that the oxygen added, and thus the enhancing of the activity of the bacteria. results in a reduction of the amount of acid compound needed to he added and results in reducing, almost eliminating, the risk of hydrogen sulphide, H2S, being formed.
103 Method of cleaning products to which dirt adheres US09485884 2000-05-05 US06427704B1 2002-08-06 Jan Jacobus Bleeker
Solid products to which dirt adheres are cleaned by introducing them into a container filled with water, mechanically transporting the products through the container to form in the container a suspension of sludge in the water, the sludge comprising dirt which has been removed from the products, the sludge having a specific mass that approaches the specific mass of water. A stream of finely divided air bubbles is fed through the sludge suspension in the container thereby to lower the specific mass of the water and to cause sludge to move by gravity toward a lower section of the container. Sludge-enriched water is removed from that lower section of the container. The products are mechanically transported by a conveyor into and through and out of the container after dirt has been removed therefrom.

105 Method and apparatus for animal waste composting US09777341 2001-01-06 US20020046712A1 2002-04-25 Herman Tripp; Jerry R. Tripp; Clara F. Tripp
A method and apparatus for composting animal waste. A system of gutters and conveyors collect liquid manure and urine and mix it with fibrous material such as ground corn stalks, ground cotton waste, ground peanut hulls, ground hay, or sawdust. The waste and fibrous material mixture combine to form a ground fibrous waste material or mash which is preferably transported up and down the length of the building by a pair of gutter blending conveyors located in central gutters below the service alley between two rows of pens. The mash is moved along by the gutter blending conveyors at a speed sufficiently slow so that composting can occur on a continuous basis. Animal carcases may be ground up and added to the mixture as it is composting, to dispose of the bodies.

A method of treating a biomass comprising liquid manure from animal husbandry containing heavy metals, the method comprising the steps of subjecting the biomass to an anaerobic microbial degradation to form a biogas containing i.e. hydrogen sulphide gas, conveying at least a part of the biogas through at least a part of the microbially degraded biomass to precipitate the heavy metals as metal sulphides and separating the resulting mixture in a precipitate and a supernatant.
107 Container for manure US593404 1996-01-29 US5833007A 1998-11-10 Jean-Noel M. Guyot; Rene R. Rosset
A method of farming comprises collecting waste material such as manure from animal farming, or effluent from food processing plants or the like in a closed container, stirring and aerating the material within the container and adding yeast and phosphoric acid to increase aerobic bacterial activity while reducing anaerobic bacteria and rendering the material into a pumpable liquid. The collected manure is stored in a cylindrical container having a plastics liner and roof and is used as a fire suppressant material for dowsing fires in the farm buildings by providing a pump and hose on the container or hydrant located adjacent to the buildings.
108 Farming method using waste material US247664 1994-05-23 US5755058A 1998-05-26 Jean-Noel M.
The material is then spread across the ground by a spreading action by pumping the material through a pipe carried on the reel of a vehicle having a boom of the order of 100 feet in width so that the material is sprayed onto the ground in an even spreading action at a rate of the order of 1000 to 5000 gallons per acre. Simultaneously an oxidizing agent such as hydrogen peroxide is sprayed onto the material, preferably immediately before the material. Prior to spreading, crop residue on the ground is chopped to small length and broken so that the oxidizing agent acts on the straw and allows the high level of aerobic bacteria in the waste material to decompose the straw with the waste material in a rapid action. Subsequently the soil is incorporated with the crop residue and material to a depth of two inches.
