PURPOSE:To obtain a titled automatic setting device that can pull out the end remained in a working device such as a header and deliver automatically the tip of a new wire rod from a rotary carrier by constitution of a moving arm, a finger device etc. CONSTITUTION:A new wire rod 79 is set on a right side rotary carrier while a header 2 is operated by a wire rod 79 set to a left side rotary carrier 22. The tip of the wire rod 79 is clamped between the fixed claw 32 and movable claw 33 of a clamp 30 by an air cylinder 32. When the wire rod 79 on the left side rotary carrier 22 is used to the end, feeding operation to the header 2 is stopped by an end detector 70, and the tip of the wire rod 79 is pulled out by a discharging bar 74. Then, a carrier loader 3 is turned 180 deg., and the tip of a new wire rod is clamped by similar operation, and the header 2 is operated automatically continuously. |

PURPOSE:To allow a reliable operation by feeding a lead wire by a predetermined length with a feed roller and multiple pressure rollers and straightening it with a correction roller in a lead wire feeder to columnar electronic parts. CONSTITUTION:A lead wire 4 extracted from a lead wire reservoir section 15 via a guide roller 23 is inserted into the recess 20a of a feed roller 20 by a wire guide 24 and is pressed by multiple pressure rollers 21, the feed roller 20 is rotated by a predetermined angle by means of a stepping motor 22 while a wire chuck 6 is opened, and the lead wire 4 is fed by a predetermined length. In this case, the lead wire 4 leaving both rollers 20, 21 has the predetermined curvature, and the curve can be corrected and straightened by lifting the lead wire 4 upward with a curve correction roller 26. Accordingly, the lead wire can be reliably fed by a predetermined length in a straight line, and reliable operation can be performed over a long time. |

PURPOSE:To feed inexpensively and exactly a wire rod with ease of handling by converting the revolutions of a pinion contg. a one-way clutch to an axial angle of the revolution in one direction by means of said pinion and a rack and transmitting the same via a belt transmission mechanism to wire rod feed rolls. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 3, to which the reciprocating stroke of a rod 10 coupled directly to an air cylinder 1 serving as a linear stroke source is inputted, receives the input of a specified distance by stoppers 14, 15, and rotates axially to the specified extent in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. The revolution in the counterclockwise direction is thus prohibited by the operation of a one-way clutch 11 and only the revolution in the clockwise direction is transmitted to a clutch shaft 12, a pulley 4, a timing belt 6, a pulley 5 and wire rod feed rolls 7 in this order. The wire rod 8 is thus delivered at a specified size by the air cylinder 1. |

An apparatus and method for moving a wire along its own axis against a high resistance to its motion causing a substantial uniaxial compression stress in the wire without allowing it to buckle. The apparatus consists of a wire gripping and moving drive wheel and guide rollers for transporting the moving wire away from the drive wheel. Wire is pressed into a peripheral groove in a relatively large diameter, rotating drive wheel by a set of small diameter rollers arranged along part of the periphery causing the wire to be gripped by the groove. The drive wheel can have a smooth peripheral surface and a groove or grooves parallel in the outer surface of small diameter rollers. |
