81 Water disk sports game and target US12283557 2008-09-12 US07775915B2 2010-08-17 Kevin McCarthy
A water disk sports game that includes a pair of floating goals located at predetermined distances from each other in a designated boundary area. Each goal includes a vertical scoring pole that extends upward from a large floating base. In a first embodiment, the floating base is a hollow circular floating disk with an upper, diagonally aligned skirt surface that leads to a circular recessed cavity coaxially aligned with the scoring pole. Attached to the scoring pole is an elevated lid which creates a narrow gap between the lid and the top rim of the floating base. In another embodiment, the floating base is a partially submerged rim with radially aligned spokes and a center hub designed to receive the scoring pole. During use, a specially designed aquatic disk is given to one team whose objective is to throw the aquatic disk at the opposing team's scoring pole. If the aquatic disk contacts the scoring pole or is retained in the recessed cavity, a point is awarded to the offensive team or against the defensive team.

87 Game with textured playing positions US10948680 2004-09-24 US20050073105A1 2005-04-07 John Given
The game with textured playing positions is a game in which the playing positions are textured with different textures. The players attempt to position themselves on a playing surface without falling by distinguishing the positions from one another by touch, rather than requiring sight and lighting to distinguish different colors. The textured playing positions of the present game facilitate the play of the game in water, as in a shallow wading pool or the like, by providing better traction and grip for the players on what would be an otherwise slippery surface. The playing surface may be formed integrally with such a pool, if so desired. The provision of different textures for different playing positions also enables play of the game in darkened conditions, if so desired. Alternative embodiments indicate the different positions using phosphorescent or fluorescent colors to allow play in the dark or by use of ultraviolet lighting.

95 Amusement device and method for propelling water from a body of water US632617 1996-04-19 US5928053A 1999-07-27 Darryl G. Henderson
An amusement device for propelling water either from a self contained reservoir or from a standing body of water. The amusement device is a type of toy whip that uses a whipping action to propel water toward a target. The amusement device contains a tubular handle and at least one flexible tubular element that extends from one end of the tubular handle, thereby forming an overall tubular structure having a rigid section and a flexible section. By partially submerging the tubular handle in a body of water and manipulating the overall tubular structure with a whipping action, water is drawn up into the tubular structure. The flexible tubular element extending from the handle tapers toward a small exit aperture. As the whipping motion of the overall tubular structure forces water toward the exit aperture, the water becomes compressed by the taper of the flexible tubular element. As a result, the water is propelled from the exit aperture at a high rate of speed. As long as the handle of the amusement device remains partially submerged, water will continuously be drawn into the device as needed.
