61 Game apparatus US987522 1997-12-09 US5910059A 1999-06-08 Thomas E. Hanson
A hand bag for striking by a back of a game player's hand comprises a plurality of panels first stitched together to form first and second panels that are then stitched about their periphery. The hand bag contains disk-shaped fluid pellets of a high density polyethylene material therein or a gel therein. The ellipsoid-shaped filler pellets are contained within an inner lining for insertion into the hand bag during assembly. Lacing extends about the stitched periphery to further secure the panels while protecting the initial stitching. The plurality of panels with lines of flexion therebetween are configured to complement the back of the user's hand so that upon striking an improved lift and airborne flight is imparted to the hand bag.
62 Aerial amusement device US464864 1995-11-20 US5674101A 1997-10-07 Shahriar Harry Saloor
A projectile device comprises a spherical core (1) with a flaccid circular wing (2) extending radially from its equator (4). Grooves (3) formed in the surface of wing (2) and core (1) provide increased friction. The device can be skimmed through the air or thrown like a ball and the wing (2) provides an increased surface area for easy catching.
63 Toy missile US596652 1996-02-05 US5577732A 1996-11-26 Donald Spector
A toy missile having a hollow head created by a collapsible plastic film casing and a balloon inflated therein, causing the head to assume a globular form. Projecting from the casing are shaped pieces which impart a figurative or fanciful form to the head. Extending from the rear pole of the globular head and held thereto by a tail is a streamer. When a player grasps the streamer and then whirls the missile and lets it fly, the streamer then acts as a tail fin to stabilize the flight pattern. Deposited in the balloon is a liquid charge which due to centrifugal forces generated by the whirling action causes the liquid to form a concentrated mass at the leading pole of the head which acts to lengthen the flight path of the missile.
64 Game projectile US909793 1992-07-07 US5180171A 1993-01-19 Patricia S. Panzica; Guy I. Goodrell
A game projectile includes a hub and four gripping arms extending from it at 90.degree. angles in a crossed configuration. The hub and arms include a cover enclosing a body of filler material to form a firm cushion. The arms are about seven inches long and two inches thick for gripping, throwing, and catching. Two of the adjacent arms contrast visually with the other two.
65 Throwing device US789096 1991-11-07 US5171021A 1992-12-15 Zeki Orak
A throwing device which has an elongated body having an opening which completely extends through the throwing device forming a constant diameter air passageway, the air passageway being coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the throwing device. The elongated body is formed by joining two truncated substantially conical bodies. The throwing device is stabilized in flight by making the first conical body heavier than the second conical body and by making the second conical body longer and lighter than the first conical body. The first conical body has generally convex exterior lines and the second conical body has generally concave exterior lines.
66 Throwing device US142267 1980-04-21 US4339138A 1982-07-13 Carl M. Di Manno
A throwing and catching device of hand-fitting external proportions, composed of two truncated cones, placed small end to small end, to define a common throat. The diameters of the outer edges of the common throat being greater that its smallest diameter at the center. To the mid-section of the cones' exterior is attached a grip of various configuration. The configuration is such that the grip is substantially in the neutral area of the aero-slipstream created by the tips of both ends of the cones. The gripping surface is made-up jointly of the cones' exposed protruding ends and said grip. Said configuration forming a V-shaped trough on either side of the device's middle.

69 Game projectile US865929 1977-12-30 US4184682A 1980-01-22 James Collins; Joseph Gerstenbacher
A game projectile of unique contour adapted to be manually thrown in a plurality of trajectories. The combination of elements of the game projectile allows for minimal displacement path of the projectile subsequent to being dynamically impacted by a bat or stick member. The game projectile includes a first hemispherical contoured member which is formed of a resilient composition and is substantially symmetrical about a first vertically directed axis line. The game projectile further includes a second hemispherically contoured member having a radius less than the radius of the first hemispherically contoured member. The second hemispherically contoured member is formed in one piece formation with the first hemispherically contoured member on an external surface thereof in order to provide the pitcher with various gripping mechanisms to control the trajectory of the game projectile. In order to minimize the acceleration forces applied to the game projectile by a stick or bat member, both of the first hemispherically contoured member and the second hemispherically contoured member are formed in the hollow manner in order that great deformation may occur when dynamic impact loading occurs.

In a sports and games apparatus comprising a throwing- and catching-rod having a handle at one of its ends, and a flying member therefor having a heavier end and a lighter end and means thereon which stabilizes the flight of said member, and having a plurality of arms which extend out from said lighter end approximately in the direction towards said heavier end; the said arms opening from the lighter end towards the heavier end of the flying member, so that the flying member may ride on the throwing rod with the point of attachment of each of the arms on said lighter end of said flying member in stable equilibrium.
72 Ball-pitching device US3788297D 1972-08-14 US3788297A 1974-01-29 BORST W
Mounted on a stand or supporting frame is the lower end of a leaf spring, to the upper end of which is attached a handle immediately below which is a ball-holding cup. To a ball adapted to be placed in the cup is connected one end of a cord, the other end of which is attached to a stake driven into the ground between the operator and the batter. In use, the handle is drawn backward and downward by the operator to bend the leaf spring into an arc, and the ball is then placed in the cup. The operator then releases the handle whereupon the force of the leaf spring upon its release pitches the ball toward the batter, who attempts to hit it. Whether he hits it or not, the cord tethered to the stake limits the flight of the ball, prevents loss of the ball and enables its easy recovery and retraction by the batter or operator for another pitch. An annular hand guard around the bat near the hand grip prevents winding of the cord around the batter''s hands.

78 Collapsible target for improving an athlete's throwing accuracy US15422203 2017-02-01 US09839826B2 2017-12-12 Michael Alfonso Tedeschi
To improve throwing accuracy an athlete can makes use of a collapsible target training device that can be easily stored, transported, and deployed. The collapsible target training device includes multiple collapsible frames, multiple ball catching nets, a base, and a frame adjustment mechanism. The multiple collapsible frames are articulated frames that are connected in a series to form a scissors mechanism. This enables the series of collapsible frames to be extended into a tower or collapsed toward the base. The base is a rigid platform that prevents the series of collapsible frames from toppling over while extended. The series of collapsible frames is mounted onto the base so that the base is able to provide structural support and stability to the series of collapsible frames when extended to form a tower. The multiple ball-catching nets are attached to the series of collapsible frame. This positioning enables the multiple ball-catching nets to catch the balls thrown through the series of collapsible frame.
