Collapsible structures (20) are provided having first and second flexible loop members (22,24), each loop member (22,24) defining a closed loop and having a first edge and an opposing second edge. Each loop member (22,24) is adapted to assume an expanded position and a collapsed position, with the two loop members (22,24) overlapping each other at a first overlapping point (26) along the first edges of the loop members, and at a second overlapping point (28) along the second edges of the loop members (22,24). The loop members (22,24) are further adapted to assume a deployed position in which one loop member (22) is disposed at an angle with respect to the other loop member (24) at the overlapping points (26,28), and with the loop members (22,24) further defining six sides when in the deployed position. The structure (20) also includes a flexible wall (50,52,54,56,58) extending across at least two of the six sides.

Collapsible structures (300) are provided having at least two panels (306,308;310,312), with each of the panels having a flexible loop member defining a closed loop and adapted to assume an expanded position and a collapsed position, a fabric for covering the loop member, with the loop member substantially supporting the fabric in particular areas so that the fabric assumes the particular configuration of the loop member when in the expanded position of the loop member. The loop members of two adjacent first and second panels overlap each other at a first overlapping point along first edges (336,344;352,360) of the loop members, and at a second overlapping point along second edges (332,340) of the loop members, with the overlapping loop members defining a hinge portion (370,372) about which the two loop members of the first and second panels (306,308;310,312) are pivotable. The structure (300) may include a third loop member having one side (314,318;322,326) which is hingedly connected to one side (334,346;358,338) of the first panel. The panels (306,308;310,312) are foldable on top of each other about their respective hinge portions (370,372) to have the loop members and their associated fabric overlaying each other, and the overlaying loop members are then collapsible to the collapsed positions by twisting and folding to form a plurality of concentric rings and layers of fabric to substantially reduce the size of the structure (300) in the collapsed position.

A floating assembly is provided which includes a generally upright, substantially rigid pole (11) having upper and lower ends. A weight (13) is connected to the lower end of the pole (11). A float (14) surrounding the pole (11) intermediate the ends of the latter is connected to the pole (11) by a universal coupling (16) which permits the float (14) to move with wave action while the pole (11) remains substantially stationary. The upper end of the pole (11) may carry a sunshade (12) or game apparatus (44; 46, 47).

A games table features a unique corner assembly in which upper and lower corner members respectively embrace about upper and lower edges of an elongated perimeter frame member of the table and are clamped together to secure the frame member in place. Matable male and female features on the corner assemblies also enable stacking of two table top units to enable convenient switching of a games table between two modes of game play.
