The knob device may be made of a light transmitting resin mounted on the operating element (3). The knob has a flange and a mark on its face formed by a non-light transmitting panel. The panel has a non-light transmitting knob guide (1c) formed on its rear to guide the flange. The guide covers at least a peripheral surface of the knob. A light-guiding member (8) guides light rays to the rear face of the knob. A lamp (10) may be provided to direct light rays directly to the knob.
