A control switch for remote-controlling a motor-driven automotive mirror. The stationary contact to be connected to one of the terminals of the motor to move the mirror about a vertical axis, the stationary contact to be connected to one of the terminals of the motor to move the mirror about a horizontal axis, and the stationary contact to be connected to the other terminal of the above two motors in common are formed on a circuit board. The bridge members to connect stationary contacts to the negative polarity of a power supply at thier ordinary position and to the positive polarity at their actuated position are accomodated in an enclosure fixedly attached to the circuit board. The actuating rods to act on the bridge members are arranged in the enclosure to be independent of one another, and one end of each of the actuating rods is projecting outside from the enclosure. The projecting ends of the actuating rods are related to the four mirror-moving-direction-indicating portions of a push-plate, and as one of the direction-indicating portions of the push-plate is depressed, the related actuating rods cause the bridge members to act for a switching operation.

184 Multi-position electrical switch EP87202080 1982-10-13 EP0269153A3 1988-11-23 Nakayama, Kiyoshi; Muto, Tadayoshi

The present invention relates to a multi-position electrical switch comprising a housing (1), an insulating board (2) provided with a pair of electrodes constituting fixed contacts, a pressure-sensitive electrically conductive rubber sheet (5) extending over said electrodes so as to form switch elements with the latter, a supporting plate (8) disposed on the rubber sheet and having a central ball-and-socket joint (9) and a plurality of openings, and an operating button (11) tiltably mounted on the ball of said joint.

The bottom face of the button (11) has four faces having raised pressing surfaces arranged for engagement with the portions of the rubber sheet corresponding to the switch elements when the button (11) is tilted. The ball of the joint (9) has pins whereas the socket has grooves for receiving respective ones of said pins when the button is tilted, the grooves being elastic and slightly narrower than the diameter of the pins in order to urge the button back from a tilted position to its untilted position.

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved switch for a window regulator control for an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: This window regulator control switch is furnished with a rear view mirror selector 24 free to adjust at left 8 and right 6 positions to make it possible to adjust a rear view mirror. Control buttons 26, 28 to effectuate or nullify a door function (child safety function or locking of a local window regulator control part) make it possible to effectuate or nullify the function for a left side or a right side rear door in accordance with a position of the rear view mirror selector 24. The selector also has a neutral position 4 where operation for the function button effectuates or nullifies a function of two rear doors. The switch makes it possible that the control part has flexibility without proportionally increasing the number of the buttons. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a circuit board and reduce soldering man-hours, by providing a fixed contact divided into a case and the circuit board, in a switch device formed by combining a two-way and a four-way switch. SOLUTION: A first fixed contact is provided in a lower part case 2, a second fixed contact is provided on an upper side of an electric circuit board 5. Now for instance, in a condition that a two-way changeover switch is selected on the left side, a knob for a four-way changeover switch is tilted to the left side. Then, a four-way slider 600 and two sets of four-way contacts 900 are slid on the lower part case 2 and the circuit base board 5. Movable contacts 903 to 906 of this four-way contact 900 are brought into contact with the first fixed contact in a side of the lower part case 2 and the second fixed contact on the side of the circuit board 5, for instance, a first circuit is constituted. When tilting of the knob for the four-way changeover switch is stopped, the knob is returned to a neutral condition by automatic resetting spring, the first circuit is made off. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the sliding in a contact part as much as possible and provide a switch device having a contact part never worn by long-term use by specifying the structure of a switch device for selectively operating a plurality of switch elements. SOLUTION: This switch device has a case 61 opened in the bottom surface and having a holder 64 in the inner part; a movable contact body 92 fixed to the holder 64 and having a movable contact piece 95; an operation knob for performing a switching; a driving body (slider) 76 firmly held by the operation knob 62 through an elliptic hole 73 formed on the case 61 to horizontally reciprocate and having a locking part 76b for pressing the movable contact piece 95 downward by this reciprocation, and a printed board 65 inserted into the case 1 and having a fixed contact 104 conducted when the movable contact piece makes contact with it by the oscillation of the movable contact piece 95. Since ON/OFF control is performed by the oscillation of the movable contact piece 95, the contact part is never worn. COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
