The fixing plate is disposed under the key frame. While the linking rod is rotated relative to the key frame to push the key frame, a position-limiting structure of the key frame is moved along a guiding structure of the fixing plate. Consequently, the key frame is limited to be moved in a first axial direction. Moreover, when the key frame is moved to a locked position at the same level with a keycap of the key, the keycap cannot be pressed down.

A tongue piece and a cutout portion for engagement with the upper and lower cases are provided centrally of two longitudinally extending inner side and this side of the keyboard body. Positioning and fixing of the keyboard body relative to the case are effected by those two engaging portions. Also at two positions of the inner side of the keyboard body are provided fixing portions for fixing the keyboard body to the case, namely, the upper and lower cases.

The film-like board has an air vent communicating with each enclosure, while the top wall of the upraised portion of the lower casing has a groove communicating with the air vent, so that the air in the enclosure may flow into the groove through the air vent upon collapse of the cap portion.

In some examples, techniques are provided for quick haptic feedback, without the use of a controller, which is local to individual, non-actuating keys, such as keys of a thin keyboard or keypad. The haptic feedback may be in the form of a simulated “key-click” feedback for an individual key that is pressed by a user such that the finger used to press the key feels the tactile sensation. The haptic feedback mimics the tactile sensation of a mechanical key (e.g., buckling spring, pop-dome key switch) to give a user the perception that they have actuated a mechanically movable key.
