A keyboard assembly includes an insulative substrate upon which are carried a plurality of conductive paths. Respective portions of the paths are selectively bridged upon depression of a dome-shaped conductive resilient contact element. A pair of space-opposed regions of the dome's marginal portion are deformed downwardly away from its apex so as to constitute a pair of space-opposed feet. The feet have a complex shape which leads to high lifetime of the dome. Preferably, the feet rest on corresponding conductive pads, and the pad pairs for adjacent domes may be differently oriented so as better to accommodate the passage of leads between those domes. Leads on the substrate passing beneath dome edges desirably are depressed into the substrate. Overlying the domes in a completed assembly is a layer of deflectable insulating material that is adhesively affixed to the substrate and to the domes; the latter includes an aperture in registry with each dome but of a diameter smaller than the width of such dome. Advantageously, the adhesively-coated layer also is utilized for the purpose of picking up individual domes from a magazine and transferring them to their assigned positions on the substrate.

Dies ist dadurch erreicht, dass die Schnappscheibe (6) in der Ausgangslage (I) und in der Schaltposition (II) lageorientiert ausgelenkt ist, dass auf die Schnappscheibe (6) eine mit der Taste (4) verbundene Rückholeinrichtung (12) zusammenwirkt und dass die Rückholeinrichtung (12) mit der Taste (4) oder dem Zwischenglied (11) verbunden ist und bei dessen Rückstellung die Schnappscheibe (6) in die Ausgangslage (I) drückt.

The insulating films are aligned and adhered on top of each other and the adhered insulating films are aligned and adhered to the base layer such that the locations of the moving contacts of the respective insulating films align with the stationary contact of the base layer. The method includes applying an adhesive layer to an insulating film; adhering a moving contact onto the adhesive layer; aligning the moving contact with a stationary contact of a base member and adhering the insulating film to the base member; and cutting and removing an excess portion from the insulating film with a laser.

The present invention relates to a multiple contact input device. An object thereof is to make it possible to use a single operation member (4) in common for the purpose of controlling a coordinate signal and setting a point thereby preventing two switches from simultaneously operating. A base (11) is provided with a first switch (2) and four second switches (3) at a periphery of the first switch (2), and the operation member (4) is provided with a first pressing portion (43), second pressing members (44), and projections (45). When the operation member (4) is swung longitudinally and laterally, the second pressing portions (44) press the second switches (3). When the operation member (4) is swung diagonally, the each projection (45) touches a receiving portion of the base (11), thereby preventing the second pressing portions (44) from pressing the second switches (3). When the operation member (4) is pushed, the first pressing portion (43) presses the first switch (2).
