10 Case for housing information memory media therein US458874 1983-01-18 US4488645A 1984-12-18 Ryoji Yamaguchi
The invention provides a case for housing information memory media therein, having a base sheet which is integrally constituted by a first case section, a second case section and a third case section through a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion. The first and second connecting portions which are included in the third case section can be folded. When the base sheet is folded so that the first and second case sections oppose each other, a space is formed to contain the main formation memory medium therein. A flexible polyvinyl chloride sheet which forms a pocket is adhered on the first case section 14. The flexible polyvinyl chloride sheet is located on a surface of the base sheet which opposes a surface at which the space is formed to house the main information memory medium therein. A hole is formed near an opening of the pocket to extend through the flexible polyvinyl chloride sheet. A first engaging portion is adhered to a surface portion of the first case section which corresponds to the opening. One end of a band is fixed to the second case section. A second engaging portion is adhered to the other end of the band to be engaged with the first engaging portion. When the first engaging portion engages with the second engaging portion, the case is fixed such that the first case section opposes the second case section. Furthermore, an index memory medium housed in the pocket is prevented slipping out therefrom.
11 Magnetic tape shifting device US280083 1981-07-02 US4405095A 1983-09-20 Tsutomu Kohno
A magnetic tape shifting device comprises a movable member for carrying a plurality of reels and a driving mechanism for moving the movable member so that a desired reel carried by the movable member comes to a given position on a stationary member of the device. The movable member may comprise a rotatable member or a slidable member for carrying a plurality of payoff reels and/or takeup reels. The end of running magnetic tape may be detected by a photo detector for energizing a motor or motors which drive the movable member so that next reel will come to the given position immediately after the end of the operation of the former magnetic tape. The device according to the present invention may be applied to a tape recorder which produces a number of tapes by copying from an original or master tape, and time required for copying a number of tapes can be remarkably reduced because exchange of reels can be performed during operation of a magnetic tape of other reel.

13 Grammophone record sleeve US931662 1978-08-07 US4200189A 1980-04-29 Gabriella Hagelberg
The present invention relates to a grammophone record sleeve made of thin material as paper or cardboard and comprising a first section and a second section, which sections are connected to each other and have such a size and shape that they substantially cover a grammophone record intended to be stored between the sections.According to the invention the two sections are connected along one single edge and the second section is at the edge opposed to said connection edge provided with a third section, shorter than the second section. The grammophone record is intended to be handled for example by putting the same on a turntable, grasped by the hand and in a position between the third section and an edge portion of the second section, while the first section and the main portion of the second section are unfolded from the record.According to an embodiment the sleeve is provided with a layer of an electric conducting material intended to remove electrostatic charge from the record surfaces.
14 Endless tape winding device US844469 1977-10-21 US4186891A 1980-02-05 Joseph R. Johnson
A turntable is rotated to wind the tape of a taped program thereon in equal lengths per revolution thereof. Each equal winding forces the preceeding windings inwardly on the turntable to assume progressively curving paths as the respective windings recede from the periphery of the turntable. Pressure pads are equally spaced around the periphery of the turntable and rotate therewith. The pressure pads extend radially, and frictionally engage the top edges of the tape windings which follow increasingly curved paths therebetween as the equal windings are forced inwardly by succeeding equal windings. The ends of the tape are connected leaving a portion of the closed loop formed thereby for engagement by associated apparatus and rendition thereby of the taped program. Since all of the windings on the turntable are of the same length per rotation thereof, tape can be simultaneously wound on and off the turntable as it is rotated with no slippage and friction between windings, and as the beginning and end of the taped program are joined, the program can be repeated for as many performances as desired, with only monitoring for mechanical failures required.
15 Tape transport apparatus US677790 1976-04-16 US4089488A 1978-05-16 Kiyosi Isikawa
A tape transport apparatus comprising a drive pulley, a driven pulley, a belt of an elastic material passing about the drive and driven pulleys, a supply and a takeup roll of pliable tape both urged against the belt at substantially diametrically opposite sides of the driven pulley. When the belt runs, a tensioned portion and a slackened portion are formed in the belt at the opposite sides of the pulleys. The slackened and tensioned portions are in frictional contact with the supply and takeup rolls, respectively, to rotate them so that the tape is withdrawn from the supply roll and wound onto the takeup roll. The tensioned belt portion has a smaller cross-sectional area than the slackened belt portion so that the former portion runs at a higher speed than the latter. The speed difference causes the tape to be wound on the takeup roll at a higher speed than where it is withdrawn from the supply roll until the tape becomes properly tensioned between the supply and takeup rolls.
16 Center feed unwinder US411738 1973-11-01 US4037803A 1977-07-26 Paul E. Becking

A container for shipping, storing and organizing a slide tray and associated tape cassette formed from rigid material comprised of a first compartment for receipt of a slide tray and second compartment for receipt of a tape cassette. Cushioning means can be provided within the first compartment and on the inside of the top casing.
18 Reel assembly US476091 1974-06-03 US3934840A 1976-01-27 Katsu Inaga
A reel assembly includes a flexible tape drawing member with a required length, a connecting means connected to the top end of the flexible tape drawing member and a reel hub with at least one cut-out portion. Another tape-like member is connected to the flexible tape drawing member through the connecting means. When the flexible tape drawing member and the tape-like member are wound around the reel hub on the automatic loading operation of a VTR or tape recorder, the connecting means is led into the cut-out portion. Therefore, the tape-like member can be orderly wound in circle around the reel hub without wrinkling.
19 Web storage apparatus US19386071 1971-10-29 US3860190A 1975-01-14 BOLICK JR FRED C
Apparatus for storing a quantity of a web such as magnetic recording tape and for transferring such tape to and from a cassette or like container. The apparatus provides a receptacle for receiving a tape cassette and includes a rotary hub onto which a partial or complete quantity of the tape in the cassette can be wound. The tape storage hub can be provided with a removable sleeve onto which the tape is wound, with the sleeve being sufficiently flexible to assume a relatively flattened position when removed from the hub.
20 Tape cassette holder US3764003D 1971-01-28 US3764003A 1973-10-09 LOSS M
A holder for storing protective cases for tape cassettes is provided. The holder comprises a rectangular enclosure which is sealed off at one end by a resilient wall member and is at least partially sealed off at its other end by a resilient retaining wall member. The enclosure is adapted to quite snugly receive the number of protective cases to be stored since additional room need not be allowed to permit one to reach into the enclosure to effect removal of one of the protective cases. Such removal is readily effected by pushing on the resilient wall member and forcing the desired protective case to at least partially move out of the enclosure so that it can be grasped.
