PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music box of which the sound volume can be suitably adjusted.SOLUTION: Since a music box includes: a frame 30b holding a first shaft 12 and a second shaft 26 so as to allow them to be rotated around respective axes and provided so as to be movable relative to an enclosure; and a moving device 80 for moving the frame 30b relative to the enclosure in an extension direction of vibration valves 18 to change the distance between each vibration valve 18 of a diaphragm 16 and a corresponding star wheel 14, the corresponding star wheels 14 can be moved relative to the respective vibration valves 18 of the diaphragm 16 with uniform variation in distance by translating the entire frame 30b to which respective revolving shafts of star wheels 14 and start wheels 28 are attached,to change distances between the respective vibration valves 18 and the corresponding star wheels 14. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music box which emits a sound at an accurate timing.SOLUTION: A music box includes: a rotating disk 82 which is rotated in accordance with rotation of a second shaft 26 and has a plurality of slits 84 formed in a circumferential direction correspondingly to arrangement of outer peripheral teeth of a sun wheel 28; and an encoder 80 which detects passage of slits 84 of the rotating disk 82 rotated in accordance with rotational driving of the second shaft 26 driven by a motor. Displacement of the sun wheel 28 can be accurately recognized on the basis of passage timings of the slits 84 detected by the encoder 80, and the occurrence of deviation in engagement between the outer peripheral teeth 40 of the sun wheel 28 and a gear part 38 of a star wheel 14 can be suitably suppressed. That is, the music box emitting sounds at accurate timings can be provided. |

PURPOSE: A melody candle for a cake is provided to prevent ash from falling by using a natural igniting composition including a sparkle component, and to prevent a burning, a fire, and an explosion. CONSTITUTION: A melody candle(1) for a cake comprises multiple candles, a candle supporting unit(100), and a music box(200). The candle supporting unit includes multiple opening pieces(140) installed with the candles, a lifting body(120) capable of opening and closing, and a supporting body(110) supporting the lifting body. The ignition of the candles is performed by releasing a binding string(180) by the ignition of an ignition rod(170) while the lifting body is lifted to open the opening pieces. The music box rotates the candle supporting unit when the lifting body is elevated. |

A music box includes a plurality of star wheels, a plurality of sun wheels, a drive unit, a plurality of anchoring members, a plurality of vibration valves, a rotating disk, a detection unit, and a control unit. Each of the plurality of anchoring members is configured to engage one of a plurality of protruding parts of the plurality of star wheels. The rotating disk is configured to rotate according to a rotation of an axis. The rotating disk is formed with a plurality of slits arrayed in a circumferential direction of the rotating disk. The detection unit is configured to detect a passage of one or more of the plurality of slits. The control unit is configured to control one or more of the plurality of anchoring members to disengage one of the plurality of protruding parts, based on a detection result of the detection unit. |

The specification discloses a player piano action comprising an electric motor, a roll drive, and vacuum actuated automatic transmission which incorporates a traveling cylindrical housing to operatively engage and disengage the take-up and rewind spools. The action incorporates a pneumatic stack which is constructed to permit access to all bleed holes without disassembly. The vacuum for actuating the notes is supplied via a foot pump which is hinge mounted to facilitate repair of and access to the piano action. |
