1 Watch including a case of elongated shape US10401531 2003-03-31 US20030189875A1 2003-10-09 Jean Wilmouth
The watch disclosed has a case of ovoidal shape, wherein a circular watch movement (5) is arranged off-centre, on the side of the end of the case with the larger radius. On the side of the other end there is a moon phase indicator disc (16) and a power-reserve indicator of the watch. The moon disc is driven step-by-step by the movement (5) via a control lever (35) having a beak (43) that drives an external toothing (44) of the disc. This lever extends at least partly along one edge of the case, where a correction push-button is mounted, that can activate (P) the lever in the same direction as the movement is driving, which prevents any interference between the two actions.

A clock movement for table or wall clocks, the movement including at least a synchronous motor section and analog display section, the synchronous motor section adapted to receive a fixed cycle pulse signal to rotatably drive analog indicating hands at a fixed speed. The synchronous motor section includes an elongated C-shaped stator disposed within a case and a rotor rotatably supported by the case and rotated between stator poles of the stator, the rotor having a rotor pinion engaged by a first reduction wheel, the rotation of the first reduction wheel being transmitted to the analog indicating hands through a time indicating gear train, both of the first reduction wheel and time indicating gear train being disposed within the case. The gear train from the rotor to the time indicating gear train is disposed on a straight or curved line extending from the central stator axis to provide an elongated configuration to the movement case.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece including a case of elongated shape. SOLUTION: The timepiece has an egg shape case and a circular timepiece movement (5) is arranged with a bias to the end side of a case with a larger radius. On the other end side, a month phase indication disk (16) of the timepiece and a remaining energy indicator exist. A month disk is driven stepwise by a movement (5) by way of a control lever (35) having a projection (43) driving the outer teeth (44) of the disk. This lever at least partly extends along one edge of the case and a correction press button is attached there, which can move (P) the lever in the direction same as driving of the movement and so interference between the two motions is prevented.
