204 | Souvenir spectacles | EP81305392 | 1981-11-13 | EP0052494A3 | 1982-09-15 | Lambert, Clarence Ben |
Souvenir items whose main use is for souvenirs of special events, sporting events, or for advertising must sell at a relatively low price to be commercially viable. The invention produces a souvenir spectacle at a relatively low cost by making a one piece molded body (11) that includes two lens portions (12) connected by a bridge portion (4) and which has a panel projecting therefrom (18) for attachment of a banner (20). A banner piece (20) is secured to the banner attachment panel (18) of the body in spaced relationship thereto. The body also has received lugs (37,38) projecting from each end thereof for pivotally receiving and holding temple pieces (17). A plurality of plaques (34) may be pivotally mounted between the banner and the attachment panel so that the plaques may be aligned face-to-face out of sight behind the banner piece or may be pivoted into respective positions such that they extend outwardly from behind said banner piece for display. |

206 | EYE GLASSES PROCESSING METHOD OF METAL SHEET WRAPPING ACETATE SHEET SURFACE | EP16908374.8 | 2016-07-14 | EP3396437A1 | 2018-10-31 | Wang, Daomin |
A method for processing a pair of spectacles having a metal sheet wrapping the surface of an acetate sheet comprises the following steps: step 1, cutting a 4.0 acetate sheet; step 2, softening the cut acetate sheet through baking, and tapping a steel needle into the acetate sheet; step 3, cutting out grooves in the two sides of the acetate sheet, and clamping metal fittings on the acetate sheet; step 4, mounting an upper die and a lower die on a 15-ton hydraulic press; step 5, clamping a metal material in the grooves formed in the acetate sheet, sleeving the metal material and the acetate sheet in a middle pressing die, and heating the metal material and the acetate sheet sleeved by the middle pressing die in an oven; step 6, baking the acetate sheet in a sealed oven; step 7, after the acetate sheet is completely softened, sleeving the acetate sheet and the middle pressing die in the lower die of the hydraulic press, and directly pressing the acetate sheet through the hydraulic press with an adjusted pressure of 1 ton; step 8, taking out the acetate sheet, and grinding an excess acetate sheet material and metal material on the surface of the acetate sheet to be flush through a waterproof abrasive paper machine; and step 9, after pressing the metal material in the acetate sheet, performing subsequent spectacle processing procedures according to a traditional method so as to fabricate a finished spectacle product. |

207 | EYEWEAR FRAMES AND PRODUCTION METHOD | EP17203776.4 | 2017-11-27 | EP3349053A3 | 2018-10-03 | King, Will |
The invention relates to an eyewear frame, comprising a forehead part with two ends and arranged to extend around the eyes of a user when worn and two temple parts each extending rearwardly from a front of the eyewear frame, and from each end of the forehead part. The forehead part and the temple part being moulded together in a single mould from a first polymer material and comprising a plastic hinge located at the junction of each end of the forehead part and each temple part, said plastic hinge being formed by a region of the polymer material having thickness which is significantly less than the thickness of corresponding forehead part ends and temple parts adjacent the plastic hinge region, such that the temple parts may be moved about the plastic hinge with respect to the forehead part between an open position in which the eyewear may be worn on a user's head, and a closed position in which the temple parts are arranged approximately parallel to the forehead part and the eyewear may be more conveniently stowed when not in use. The plastic hinges exert a restoring force which urges the temple parts of the frame to either the closed or open position, such that the eye wear frame automatically folds back to the folded position after use, or automatically opens to the open position. The plastic hinge may be formed as a curved strip. The eyewear frame may be co-moulded with the first polymer material and a second polymer material, having a lower modulus of elasticity, or flexural modulus, than the first polymer. |

The present invention relates to a composite thermoplastic plastic plate material for glasses, a decorative component comprising the composite thermoplastic plastic plate material and a preparation process therefor. In particular, during the preparation of the plate material, when the thermoplastic plate material is bound, a high frequency welding machine is used. The present invention uses a high frequency welding machine for the instant welding of the thermoplastic plastic plate material; good binding strength exists between different plate materials; and the patterns of the intermediate layer are intact, and have high-definition images, and the patterns are located on the intermediate layer, not affected by external environment factors, and are not easily abraded. Further, the many faces of the glasses component have patterns, increasing the beautiful appearance of the glasses component, and meeting the requirements of customers to the largest extent. | ||||||

A coupling device with a breakaway tab and methods of using the same for operably coupling an ornament to a joint or hinge. The coupling device comprises an elongated body having openings at each end. One opening has been adapted to receive a screw of a joint or hinge, the other to receive an ornamental fastener. A breakaway tab or non-threaded portion of the elongated stem is provided to manipulate the screw and coupling device so the coupling device may be inserted between a head of the screw and a first surface of the joint or hinge. After engaging the threads in the hollow threaded channel of the hinge, and the screw has been essentially completely inserted into the hollow threaded channel of the hinge, the breakaway tab or non-threaded portion of the elongated stem of the screw may be broken off at a breakaway and discarded. |
