PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To track the energy from a scattering point by generating a series of pulse signals every scattering point in response to both tracking error signals of range and speed, and determining both error signals from the frequency spectra in response to the respective pulse signals. SOLUTION: A heterodyne part 18 inputs both tracking error signals of range and speed from lines 20, 22, respectively, and generates a series of pulse signals, in replay to this, in an output 19 from a pulse train generated from the reflected energy by each scattering point S1-Sm of an object. Each pulse signal is sequentially changed in a specified rate related to the range up to each scattering point to which the phase corresponds. A processor 24 determines both tracking error signals of range and speed, in reply to each pulse signal, from its frequency spectrum. According to this method, the energy from each scattering point S1-Sm on the object 16 can be tracked. COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO

PURPOSE: To display both ground and an obstacle that protrudes from it on a display and make safe flight at a low altitude by tracking a plurality of targets simultaneously in time-sharing system. CONSTITUTION: A digital control module 22 generates a transmission pulse at a transmitter 29 and sets a time To applied to a transmission antenna 30 and the amplitude level of a transmission signal. At both sides of main return, transmission power level control is disabled and a full power is supplied, thus enabling to return from a target with a low reflection factor such as a treetop to be received. A return pulse is picked up by a reception antenna 34 and is inputted to an altitude meter including an amplification, band-limiting down conversion, and peak detection circuit 40 via a distance gate 36. Then, after A/D conversion, the output is applied to a threshold detector 42 and the presence or absence of the target is judged depending on whether the return signal exceeds a threshold or not. After the altitude of a plurality of targets that match a reference is registered in a RAM 24, it is displayed in multiple on a display device. COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO

PURPOSE:To track stably a fast moving target by adding newly a multiplying circuit, integrating circuit, and dividing circuit to the moving target tracking device. CONSTITUTION:The multiplying circuit 3g, integrating circuit 3i, and dividing circuit 3h are added to the moving target tracking device and the circuit 3h divided an integration output DELTA by SIGMA and supplies the division output DELTA/SIGMA to an adder 3e as a distance error. The division output DELTA/SIGMA is the normalized value of the integration output DELTA and the distance error and division output DELTA/SIGMA is in linear proportion to each other. For the purpose, when the sum output of the division output DELTA/SIGMA and current distance information R is supplied to a distance correcting circuit 3d and a distance correction is made, the distance correction is performed even in an area where AGC is not imposed because of a low reception level, and the target is tracked. Further, even if the reception level varies in an area under AGC, the division output as an error output is a normalized value, so the tracking is stable. |
