PURPOSE:To arrange a minimum measurement level to be easily measured without causing the necessity for changing the height of an automatic speed changer, by folding a tube communicating with the inside and the outside of an oil pan so that the lowermost position of a folded part in the tube is opened into the oil pan. CONSTITUTION:Oil lubricating the inside of a transmission is stored in an oil pan 2, and the oil pan 2, containing in its inside a valve body 401 and an oil strainer 403 for suction of oil to an oil pump 150, is composed of a side surface part 2B measuring a capacity of oil and a bottom plate part 2C. A tube 3, in which an oil level gage 4 is provided, flexes a folded part R for providing the gage insertion port 2B in the upper of an oil port 2A. Here the folded part R of the tube 3 is provided so that the lowermost position of the folded part R is above the bottom plate part 2C of the oil pan 2 while below the bottom end of the tube 3.
124 Measuring bar for measuring oil level JP33913292 1992-12-18 JPH05340784A 1993-12-21 DEI SONMA DANIRO; AMETSURIO ENTSUO
PURPOSE: To give an ultra resiliency to a measuring bar for measuring oil level and facilitate a reading of the oil level, by including an enlarged portion adjacent to an indicating portion and around a piano wire and a cylindrical oil amount reading portion. CONSTITUTION: A cover 14 is molded on a piano wire thus having a high resiliency. A measuring bar 10 comprises a plug 16 provided with an annular grip 18 and a cylindrical indicating portion 20 at the end thereof. The bar 10 is also provided with an enlarged portion 22 in the vicinity of the indicating portion 20. The indicating portion 20 includes a head portion 21 and a cylindrical portion 25 which has a diameter smaller than that of a leg portion 23. The piano wire extends along a longitudinal axis at the indicating portion 20 and terminates at a socket embedded in the leg portion 23. The cylindrical portion 25 includes positions which correspond to a highest oil level and a lowest oil level respectively. The enlarged portion 20 has a cross section which is almost similar to the cross section of an insertion tube and works as a guide for the bar 10 in the insertion tube. Furthermore, during a withdrawal or an insertion of the bar 10, the enlarged portion 22 reliably separates the indicating portion 20 from the inner wall of the insertion tube so that they are prevented from coming into contact with each other, thus preventing the indicating portion 20 from being soiled due to a slide contact. 125 Dipstick locator JP6678591 1991-03-29 JPH05321630A 1993-12-07 UAAREN AARU JIEUETSUTO; CHIYAARUZU KEI UATAASON; CHIMOSHI JIEI BAAJISU; SUTEIBUN JIII HAUZAA; ROOJIYAA JIII IGUNON
PURPOSE: To easily and swiftly recognize position of a dipstick even under poor lighting conditions by installing a locator equipped with at least a light source that lights necessary brightness in the dipstick inserted into a pipe extending upward from an engine block. CONSTITUTION: A motor vehicle has a dipstick 62 inserted in interior of a pipe 56 that extends upward from an engine block 58. In this invention, a locator 10 of the dipstick 62 is arranged around the pipe 56, and is fixed by a cramp 68. And, the locator 10 is connected to electricity source 70 of the vehicle through plural wires 36, 38 in cable 42. Furthermore, a plurality of light emitting diodes 32 is included in a printed circuit board 26 arranged in the housing of the locator 10. The printed circuit board 26 is connected to the cable 42. Through this way, the locator 10 is emitted and lighted to a certain extent corresponding to conditions of the engine hood to enable position of the dipstick 62 to be easily and swiftly recognized.

132 Oil level gage JP12199384 1984-06-15 JPS612021A 1986-01-08 NAGATA TERUHIDE; KOIZUMI SHIGERU
PURPOSE:To simplify an inspection work and to enable an oil check surely by holding a level gage on the upper part of an oil liquid surface at non-measurement time in an oil level gage inspecting the quantity of an engine oil, etc. for automobile. CONSTITUTION:An oil level gage 2 is made by inserting the main body 3 of level gage into a cap 4. The main body 3 of the gage makes the upper part a holding part 6a and the lower part a measuring part 7. The cap 4 of the oil level gage 2 is fitted to a guide pipe 1 and the gage measuring part 7 is pushed out from the guide pipe 1 and put into an oil 13 and the oil quantity is measured. A spring 10 is also provided between the outer lid 4c and inner bottom 4b of the cap 4 thereof. At non-measurement time (A) the gage measuring part 7 is pushed up by the spring 10 and at measurement time (B) the spring 10 is pushed to dip the measuring part 7 in the oil 13. Since the gage measuring part is not dipped in the oil at non measurement time, the work of wiping out the measuring part is therefore made unnecessary.

135 Method for detecting level of coal layer in coal pipe JP2934982 1982-02-24 JPS58146822A 1983-09-01 ISHIDA KENJI
PURPOSE:To detect simply and surely a level of a coal layer in a coal pipe, by inserting a push rod into a coal pipe from a side wall crossing at right angle to each other and deciding the level whether the rod is moved with a fixed stroke within the set time or not. CONSTITUTION:An opening 2 is provided to a side wall of a coal pipe 1 at a part upper than a level of the lowest limit of the coal layer and a push rod 7 sealed with a sealing box 4, a sealing member 5 and a press metallic fitting 6 etc. is inserted into the pipe 1 crossing at right angle to each other through a cylinder 9 for sending necessary pressurized air. And, when the rod 7 is moved with a prescribed stroke within the set time and a limit switch 11 is interlocked with said movement via a striker 10, it is decided that the coal layer in the pipe 1 is not reached to a prescribed level and a control signal for coal sent out quantity is generated. On the other hand, when the extent of movement of the rod 7 is not reached the prescribed stroke within the set time, it is detected that the coal layer in the pipe 1 is attained to the prescribed level. By this construction, it is detected simply and surely that the coal layer in the pipe 1 is in a fixed level or not.
