A spool, particularly useful as an oil-dipstick wiper, includes two like spool sections each formed with an axially-extending hollow stem terminating in a plurality of clamping jaws permitting the two sections to be assembled together with a snap fit, with a wiper element carried by the stem of each section.

The present invention relates to a level gauge, and more particularly, to a level gauge provided on a device such as an engine or transmission of a vehicle to discharge air from the device and prevent a foreign substance from being introduced therein. In addition, the level gauge and an oil inlet can be integrated into a single module, to thereby save costs. To this end, according to a technical aspect of the present invention, a level gauge includes a tube provided on a device of a vehicle, and a gauge part inserted in the tube to check the state of the oil contained in the device. The tube has an air hole in an outer surface thereof to discharge air from the device. The gauge part includes: a sealing member inserted in an end of the tube to seal the tube; a hole shield integrally formed with the sealing member, and coupled to an outer circumferential surface of the tube to cover the air hole; and a metering part having an end coupled to a portion of the sealing member, and the other end extending into an oil tank.

Device for wiping off an oil dip stick or a similar oblong object, said device comprising a casing (1) which is closed essentially at all sides, of which casing (1) two essentially oppositely situated wall section (4,5) are provided with a passage opening (14,15) for moving a dip stick to and fro through the casing (1), in said casing two pieces of plate shaped foam material being provided along which the dip stick can be slid for wiping it off, the edges (8,9) of said passage openings (14,15) being bent inwards to compress the foam material (6) firmly in the casing (1), at least one wall (2) of the casing (1) being provided with means (16) with which the casing, either in a detachable manner or not, can be fastened to a wall, such as the wall of an engine compartment.

Es wird offenbart, eine Reinigungsvorrichtung für einen Ölpeilstab eines Kraftfahrzeugs, aufweisend eine Hülle (2, 4; 2', 4'; 2'', 4''), in der ein Reinigungstuch (6; 6'; 6'') zum Abstreifen und/oder Aufnehmen von am Ölpeilstab anhängendem Öl angeordnet ist, wobei die Hülle zwei gegenüberliegende und miteinander verbundene Schichten (2, 4; 2', 4'; 2'', 4'') aufweist. Das Reinigungstuch (6, 6', 6'') ist an den Innenseiten der Schichten befestigt, und die Schichten sind an einer Kante (8, 8', 8'') unverbunden, so daß der Ölpeilstab in die Hülle einführbar ist.
