The turn tilt table is preferably mounted on a self propelled mobile vehicle for carrying a test article such as a military vehicle weighing up to 70 tons. The mobile vehicle is driven to a plurality of test sites at which radar beams or the like are directed against the test article for determining vehicle radar signatures or the like. During testing, the turn tilt table may be tilted anywhere between a horizontal position and 45° from the horizontal; and may be pivoted 360° about an axis normal to the plane of the turn tilt table to any of a plurality of positions within 360°. If vehicles are being tested, a ramp is connectable to the table to allow the vehicle to be driven onto or off the table

The invention relates to a vehicle (1) for transporting a heavy mortar (7) carried by a stand (6) which is connected to hydraulic cylinders (2, 4) with the aid of which the stand is movable from a position on the vehicle to a position on the ground. To prevent recoil force from being transferred to the hydraulic cylinders, the stand is provided with a foot plate (12), taking up recoil force and being movable in the direction of the recoil force relative the rest of the stand.

A system for stowing and deploying a mortar from a transport vehicle employs a hoist mechanism, a support frame, a pair of guide arms and a barrel-support strut attached to a transport vehicle. The support frame is adapted to be temporarily engaged with the mortar barrel, the base plate and the pair of stabilizer arms of the mortar to prevent relative motion between them during stowing and deployment. The hoist mechanism has a lift arm that pivots between a retracted and a deployed position. One end of the lift arm is hook shaped for detachable engagement with the support frame. A pair of guide arms extend in spaced parallel relation from the rear of the vehicle and serve to guide a trajectory of the mortar as it is being stowed or lowered to the ground. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
12 HOLDING APPARATUS US15767780 2016-10-13 US20180297535A1 2018-10-18 Peter Michael McDonald
A holding apparatus mountable to a vehicle is provided. The apparatus comprises one or more mounting members; one or more rear holding members; one or more front holding members; and one or more clamping actuators operatively associated with the front and/or rear holding members. The one or more clamping actuators are capable of moving the front holding members and/or the rear holding members to thereby releasably, clampingly engage an object placed between the front and rear holding members. The apparatus may be particularly adapted for holding firearms. The apparatus may be particularly adapted for use with all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). Also provided are methods of holding and/or securing an object such as a firearm using the apparatus, before or after mounting the apparatus to a vehicle.

A mounting system having a base plate, multiple mounting apertures adapted to releasably hold a man-portable equipment item, and non-invasive fasteners for attaching to a structure without damaging the structure. The non-invasive fasteners can include adhesive bonded fasteners which couple to a structure without damaging the structure and permit attachment and removal of the mounting system. The base plate and mounting apertures are designed to minimize mounting footprint and orient the man-portable equipment item in relation to a user structure or aperture such as a turret, egress point, portal, or other structure which requires a user to pass through a structure and have immediate access to the man-portable equipment item.

17 Device for transporting a mortar-type heavy weapon on a light all-terrain vehicle US10550060 2004-03-18 US20060266208A1 2006-11-30 Denis Jean-Francois; Andre Beaujard; Patrick Cohe
The invention relates to techniques used to transport artillery-type autonomous weapons, such as cannons or mortars. The invention can be used to transport a heavy weapon on the rear deck of a light all-terrain vehicle. The interface (3, 4) between the vehicle (2) and the weapon (1) comprises a retractable structure (3), e.g. a fork crane (30), a cable (32) and an electrical winch (31). When retracted, the retractable structure is designed to form a mechanical connection between the vehicle and the weapon, and, when released, said structure is configured to enable the weapon to move in relation to the vehicle, such that the stresses produced with the launch of a missile are not transmitted to the vehicle. Moreover, when the retractable structure is in the released position, the weapon can be moved away from the vehicle while remaining connected thereto and, in the retracted position, the structure can be used to position the weapon precisely on the vehicle.

A mount including a pair of parallel and opposing channel members is provided with the channel members rigidly braced relative to each other and a connecting strap extending between one pair of corresponding ends thereof. A scabbard for enclosing a rifle, shotgun, chain saw and other implements is provided and is of a configuration to be slidingly received between the channel members in a manner guided by the channel members and the scabbard is seatable against the connecting strap. The mount includes fastening brackets whereby the mount, and thus the scabbard supported therefrom, may be supported from a motorcycle, bicycle or other vehicle. In addition, the scabbard is readily removable and itself provided with flexible straps whereby the scabbard may be secured, by means of the flexible straps, to a vehicle or saddle independent of the mount.
