PURPOSE: To efficiently discharge contaminated liquids by providing a liquid ring on the outside of a cylindrical rotor which rotates eccentrically within a round housing space, dividing the housing space into a suction chamber and a pressure chamber, and forming a ring channel in the rotor. CONSTITUTION: A rotor 1a is eccentrically mounted at one end of a shaft 2 freely rotationally supported against a housing 4 having a suction-side inlet 5 and a pressure-side radial outlet 6. A liquid ring 7 is provided in the internal space of the housing 4 and between the housing 4 and a rotor channeled base 8 in such a way as to rotate while forming a sickle-shaped space 9 and forming a sealing zone 10 on the opposite side. Thereby the internal space of the housing is divided into a suction chamber 13 and a pressure chamber 14. The rotor 1a is provided with a barrier plate 17 and communicated with the pressure chamber 14 via a passage 18 at the front of the barrier 17 and with the suction chamber 13 via a passage 19 at the rear of the barrier 17, and a liquid-ring pickup blade 20 is provided on a channeled side wall. PURPOSE: To prevent rust seizure simply and surely through the use of a sepa rate member made from an anti-rusting material by forming that portion of the internal surface of a casing, which mates with the peripheral part of an impeller with a micro-gap interposed, from a material different from the casing proper. CONSTITUTION: An impeller 1 with vanes aslant to the radial direction is borne eccentrically in a casing 2 in the form of short cylinder. A sealing liquid is put in this casing 2 and rotated so as to form a fluid ring W through utilization of the centrifugal force, and a capacity type pump is formed by the sealing action of this fluid ring W. In this arrangement, a separate member 10 from the casing proper 2 is provided in the micro-gap G between the peripheral part of the impeller 1 and the inner surface of the casing 2, wherein the separate member 10 is embedded in the casing so that part of the same is exposed to the inner surface of the casing 2. PURPOSE:To provide blades each having a high degree of accuracy in its area for reducing flow resistance, by integrally stacking sheet plates which are punched, in the axial direction of the pump for forming an impeller. CONSTITUTION:Punched several thin plates 31 are integrally stacked one upon another in the axial direction of an ELMO type pump, for forming an impeller. Further, a reinforcing annular disc 32 is disposed in the middle of the impeller at the outer peripheral part thereof, and air-communication is established between the inner periphery of the disc 32 and the outer periphery of a boss 33. The thin plates 32 are made of metal plates or plastic plates in accordance with the quality of working water or the like, that is, in case of using steel plates, the tips of blades 34 are fixed together with the disc 32 for forming an integral member. |
