PURPOSE: To arrange a screw so that it can not be removed by installing two pins rotatably in a theft preventive head, fixing the pins to a lock member, and allowing the pin ends manipulatable externally to serve as a receptacle part for an adjusting tool. CONSTITUTION: A theft preventive head 8 has a hole to accommodate a tool receptacle part 4 in substantially columnar form extending from a screw, and the screw is fitted with this head 8. Inside the head 8, two parallel pins 10 are rotatably installed beside a hole to accommodate the tool receptacle part 4. These pins 10 are fixed by a lock member 13 capable of rotating with the rotation of the pins 10 inside a ring groove 6 provided in the part 4. The ends of pins 10 manipulatable externally are arranged to constitute a receptacle part 11 for an adjusting tool. This enables removal using a tool of relatively simple make, and theft prevention is ensured. COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO

By providing two separate and independent locking system formed in a single padlock construction which is employed for securely holding and locking zipper pull tabs, an effective, easily produced, padlock is achieved which is responsive to both a combination controlled locking system and a key controlled locking system for independently enabling the zipper pull tabs to be released and/or lockingly engaged in response to the activation of either locking system. In the present invention, an easily assembled, compact, highly efficient dual mode, zipper pull locking system is achieved by employing a pair of spring biased locking latch members which are constructed for being inserted in the apertures formed in each of the conventional zipper pulls/tabs employed on luggage, briefcases, and the like.

36 Combination closing device for bags or similar items EP02425490.6 2002-07-29 EP1387026A1 2004-02-04 Colombo, Angelo Fabio

The present invention refers to a closing device for bags or similar items comprising a male piece (1) and a female piece (2). The male piece (1) is fitted with a pressbutton (3) suited to engaging with an external flange (4) of the female piece (2) to hold the male piece (1) in engagement with the female piece (2) and the pressbutton (3) is positioned in a cavity (6) of the male piece (1) so that it can be moved from a protruding position to a position aligned with the external profile of the male piece (1). The cavity (6) of the male piece (1) includes cam wheels (13, 14) which normally rotate integrally with combination wheels (15, 16) that can be accessed from outside and side arms (17, 18) adjacent to the cam wheels (13, 14) and elastically stressed in side engagement with them so as to assume, in function of the angular position of the cam wheels (13, 14), a locking position of the pressbutton (3) in which said side arms (17, 18) prevent the pressbutton (3) from penetrating inside the cavity (6) in order to align with the external profile of the male piece (1), and a release position of the pressbutton (3) in which the arms (17, 18) leave the same pressbutton (3) free to move between said protruding position to said aligned position.

A first knob mechanism (13) has its axis fixed with respect to the casing (1), while a second similar knob mechanism (23) is mounted on the movable bolt unit (5); the mechanism (13) has an annular member (13E) with a circular profile (13F) which can be operated via the corresponding operating knob, a peripheral notch (13G) and an inner ring of indentations (13H) intended to engage with elastic pin means so as to define a plurality of positions of the operating knob with respect to the annular member (13E) and with respect to the peripheral notch (13G); provided on the movable casing (1) and on the movable bolt unit (5) are two projections (1C; 5C) designed to engage with the corresponding circular profiles such as the one (13F) and with the corresponding peripheral notches such as the one (13G) so as to prevent the bolt unit (5) from sliding and so as to allow it to slide when both operating knobs are positioned in accordance with the correct combination, which can be modified when the bolt unit (5) is in the open position.

40 COMBINATION LOCK EP90917185.2 1990-11-06 EP0500710B1 1994-05-04 DUNCH, Poul
In order to simplify the production of a combination lock as many parts as possible are standardized. This applies to the pressure pins (18), the click pawls (16) and the springs (26, 27) belonging thereto, as well as to the pivotal code units (5) which are provided with a cam (9) for impacting on the pressure pins (18) for unlocking the lock. The individual code units (5) comprise a fitting part (7) with eight fitting positions, a cam shaft (8) having a click disc (6) with eight teeth interspaces and a turn button (11) with eight fitting positions. This permits the lock to be coded during fitting in that the choice of angular positions for the base (7) gives the position of the cam (9) and hence the coding of the unit. This means that manufacture as well as fitting and coding of the lock is simplified.
