A non-aqueous process for dyeing a shaped article at an elevated temperature comprises causing a thin continuous film of a dye composition to flow over the surfaces of the shaped article at an elevated temperature. The dye composition temperature and the time of contact between the dye composition and the shaped article are sufficient to effectuate the dyeing of the shaped article. The dye composition comprises a substantially non-aqueous solvent, a dyestuff, and one or more additives, if needed.

44 METHOD FOR DYEING AND FINISHING TEXTILE MATERIAL AND CORRESPONDING APPARATUS EP15736623.8 2015-06-08 EP3152358A1 2017-04-12 FRANCHETTI, Roberto
Method for dyeing and simultaneously finishing textile material (14) with an ammonia solution (13) containing dyes dissolved therein. The method comprises the following steps: - preparing the ammonia solution (13) containing the dyes and sending this ammonia solution to a machine (11) for processing the textile material (14); - adjusting the percentage of water present in the textile material (14) before said textile material (14) enters into the processing machine (11) so that the overall percentage of water contained in the ammonia solution (13) and the percentage of water present in the textile fibers is at maximum 20% with respect to the total weight of the solution; - entry of the textile material (14) into the processing machine (11) through safety seals (15); - impregnating the textile material (14) with the ammonia solution (13) for at least a few seconds, the textile material (14) being kept mechanically constrained between at least an entrance tensioner element (19) and an exit tensioner element (23); - squeezing out the excess ammonia from the textile material (14), still kept mechanically constrained, in order to obtain an adjustable pick-up of about 80 - 100% with respect to the dry weight of the textile material (14); - evaporation of the ammonia from the textile material (14) inside the processing machine (11); - exit of the textile material (14), dyed and dried, from the processing machine (11) through safety seals (115).
45 PROCESS OF MARKING A TEXTILE SUBSTRATE EP14708114.5 2014-02-25 EP2961881A1 2016-01-06 VAN DER KRAAN, Martijn; TRAMBITAS, Daniela Oana; ION, Ionela Georgiana; WOERLEE, Geert Feye
The invention relates to the marking of textile products that have been dyed using a supercritical dyeing process. More particularly, the invention provides a process of marking a textile substrate with a tracer, said process comprising contacting the textile substrate with a supercritical or near-critical dyeing medium containing a dye and a tracer, said tracer being selected from a metal chelate and a chemiluminescent agent. The process of the present invention uses the supercritical or near-critical dyeing medium as a vehicle for depositing a tracer onto the textile substrate that is also dyed using this medium. The presence of the deposited tracer on the dyed textile can be detected using a simple and reliable authentication method. The invention also concerns a marked textile product obtained by the aforementioned process. Also provided are a dyeing composition that can be used in the aforementioned process as well as methods for authenticating textile products that have been marked using his process.
46 VERFAHREN ZUM EINFÄRBEN VON ZAHNBÜRSTENFILAMENTEN EP06791984.5 2006-09-12 EP1926411A1 2008-06-04 EMGE, Thorsten
The invention relates to a method for inserting a consumable, especially a wear indicator dye, into toothbrush filaments and/or other wearing parts used for personal care, whereby the consumable is introduced into a medium which is subjected to a pressure above atmospheric pressure, and the toothbrush filaments and/or the wearing part are exposed to a pressurised consumable medium mixture for a pre-determined impregnation time. The inventive method is characterised in that the medium into which the consumable is introduced contains CO2 as the essential component. Preferably, the consumable CO2 mixture circulates in a pressurised container under a high pressure, such that it infiltrates around the toothbrush filaments or the corresponding wearing part.
47 A non-aqueous dyeing process EP85302577 1985-04-12 EP0159876A3 1987-05-06 Pensa, Ildo E.; Hughes, Duff C, Jr.; Hood, Nicolas S.; Saunders, Eugene M.

A substantially non-aqueous process for the dyeing of a dyeable material at an elevated temperature comprises contacting a dyeable material with a dye composition at an elevated temperature in a non-reactive environment such as that provided by a fluorocarbon. The dye composition temperature and the time of contact between the dye composition and the dyeable material are sufficient to effectuate the dyeing of the material. The dye composition comprises a substantially non-aqueous solvent and a dyestuff.

49 PROCESS FOR THE TREATMENT WITH LIQUID AMMONIA OR WITH LIQUID AMMONIA SOLUTIONS OF WOVEN FABRICS, NON-WOVEN FABRICS, YARNS, SLIVERS OR TOW PCT/EP2007009758 2007-11-12 WO2008058689B1 2008-07-17 FRANCHETTI ROBERTO
This is a process for the treatment with liquid ammonia or with liquid ammonia solutions of woven fabrics, non-woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, yarns, slivers or tow based on cellulosic, animal, artificial or synthetic fibres, or relatively mixed ones. This process is characterised in that the products in question are impregnated with liquid ammonia or with a liquid ammonia solution in an adjustable percentage of between 0.1% and 200% by weight of the products concerned, in order for them to react with said chemical substances. The said textiles (3) are mechanically wound around the outside of a drum (2), either alone or in conjunction with a blanket, so as to prevent unwanted modifications of their dimensions.
