An apparatus using wet heat treatment for fixing dyes printed on a cloth including a plurality of horizontal cloth hanging rolls disposed in generally parallel relation and spaced apart at equal and narrow intervals in the upper part of a high pressure steamer for transporting the cloth continuously through the high pressure steamer by hanging the cloth on the rolls and forming loops in the gaps between them. A horizontally arranged cloth supporting device is located below and in parallel relation with the cloth hanging rolls at a location immediately above the water level of a body of hot water provided in the bottom of the steamer. The cloth supporting device supports and transports the lower ends of the loops of cloth. The cloth supporting device can be formed by a plurality of cloth supporting rolls closely spaced apart or an endless net conveyer. |

A device for subjecting web-shaped textile material to a wet pre-treatment in a damper while passing the textile material along a zig-zag path over rollers alternatingly pertaining to one of two substantially parallel vertical rows of rollers, and through a take off or plaiting device. The dry or squeeze-wet textile material is passed through a vacuum and directly subsequently thereto through a treatment bath. Thereupon, the thus treated textile material is withdrawn from the treatment bath and is passed into a damper where it is plaited for from 8 to 20 minutes (abgetafelt). |

A process for the formation of loops freely suspended over a plurality of supporting means for the conveyance of textile material, particularly web-shaped material, which is sensitive to longitudinal tension through a treatment chamber, e.g. a steamer, slowly traversed by the supporting means, e.g. supporting rollers, supported by an endless conveying means, e.g. an endless conveyor chain includes the steps of maintaining supporting means coming into contact with the material constantly in rotation during the formation of the loops, and effecting the loop formation by the relative motion of successive supporting means with respect to one another. |

Plant for steaming and fixing dyes on printed or dyed fabrics, at variable temperatures, comprising a storage chamber wherein the steaming occurs. Within the storage chamber these are provided rod-like means which dispose the fabric in the form of suspended folds and ensure the forward moving of the folds, from inlet towards outlet of the storage chamber. Guide means, defining a closed loop path, allow the rod-like means to take-up the fabric at the inlet and to discharge it at the outlet of the storage chamber, with the axis of the rod-like means remaining horizontal and orthogonal to the direction of movement of the fabric. Before the storage chamber there is provided a preheating chamber for preheating and humidifying the fabric. Heating elements and water atomising nozzles are located within the storage chamber for maintaining its atmosphere at controlled humidity and temperature conditions.
