| The Pyramid Easel is a display holder for primarily flat objects, which rests on a surface support area on eight "feet" in a rectangular configuration, and on the contact areas of two easel base options. The easel is composed of ten main contiguous, triangular and polygonal (modified triangular) planes with additional contiguous triangular and trapezoid planes as part of optional base(s). On each of two display sides, objects are supported by a modified triangular center face, a triangular wing on each side of the center face, with two base options which brace the bottom of display objects, and aid in expansion control through friction with the surface support area. Front and mirrored back, and mirrored side wings, are connected by modified triangular swing arms, which are essentially the dynamic planar backsides of the front and back center pyramids, meeting at the crown of the embedded pyramids and "swinging" inside the center of the easel structure. The easel self-adjusts simultaneously its expandability, the angle of display, and the wings' horizontal extensibility to optimize holding the weight and shape of the display object; when an expansion control device is incorporated, either a maximum useful expandability or any intermediate useful display angle can be fixed and/or adjusted. The easel can be assembled from one planar square of material. The easel can be constructed in a frame embodiment from the edges of the intersecting planes and the sides of a material square, or inclusive with decorative plane surfaces. In one embodiment, arcs replace selected plane angle vertices for rounding edges, points, and corners of an easel. | ||||||

| An apparatus and method of organizing a desktop includes a plate (12) with an opening (22) with a catch (26) serving as a handle at one end. The plate further includes two openings (30) on the second end. Attached to the plate are a plurality of overlapping vanes (14), disposed between the opening on the first end and the openings on the second end. Two ends of a continuous band (16) may be attached to the two openings on the second end. A user may place files in between the vanes to organize his or her desk. The user may then secure the files within the apparatus by pulling the band over the vanes and files and latching the band on the catch in the opening on the first end. | ||||||
