The invention provides an item of clothing in the form of trousers (1) for use outdoors and/or in hunting, having two trouser legs (2, 3) and a device for protecting against pests. To provide effective protection against pests, the device an internal insert (4), preventing the passage of pests, in particular ticks, is provided in at least one trouser leg (2,3), the lower end (5) of which insert reaches as far as the foot area (6) of the user and the upper end (8) of which insert reaches as far as the foot area (6) of the user and the upper end (8) of which is permanently connected or can be detachably connected to the trouser leg (2,3) on the inside, wherein the connection at the upper end (8) is closed circumferentially to prevent passage of the pest through connection (9). |

An interchangeable over-ankle band for the display of an ornamental design on the outside of a lower leg of a wearer. The interchangeable over ankle band including a lower leg cuff having two loose ends, the ends each including fasteners configured to selectively couple the lower leg cuff into a loop surrounding the wearer's lower leg, the lower leg cuff further including an outer surface operating as a substrate for the display of an ornamental design or logo, an interchangeable over-ankle band having a supporting layer coupled to the lower leg cuff with a rigidity greater than that of the lower leg cuff, wherein the bottom edge of the supporting layer is coupled to a ring member, which is in turn coupled with an adjustable-length stirrup strap, enabling the wearer to adjust the stirrup strap to snugly fit her or his footwear outsole. |

The primary function of the Bootstrap invention is to provide a flexible elastic woven band material that has a high heat resistant that connects to the bottom of the person's boots to their pants. The invention also provides a means to reduce the thermal heat from traveling between the person's pants by eliminating the separation distance between the pants and the boots. The invention is simple to install and provides a high degree of flexibility to insure that it maintains operation while connected to the person's boots and pants. The invention is either wrapped around the outside of the bottom of the person's boot or the inside the person's boot like a stirrup. The invention has multiple applications for people such as, firefighter bunker pants, commercial and military situations where the boots and pants need to be a close as possible during heat related and other situations. |

A protective undergarment having reinforced areas in particular locations, such as the knees and seat is provided. The garment, and particularly each of the pair of legs of the garment, is made of an abrasive resistant fabric, such as aramid fibers, in particular, KEVLAR®, and is preferably made in a woven or knitted pattern so as to be soft to the touch and breathable so that the garment is comfortable to wear under clothing. Stirrups may be attached at the bottom of each leg to prevent movement of the reinforced areas in the event of a fall. |

A pant leg retaining device for or in a pair of pants is provided to support the weight and bulk of pants in such a way as to allow a blousing effect at the knee such that the pant fabrics do not compress on the thigh/knee area and restrict leg motion. The use of a strap or retaining/restricting assembly mounted at mid-calf in or on the pant which when tightened gathers the pant leg mass just below the knee creating a blousing or pocket at and above the knee, and holds it in place. By constricting the pant at this point, the pant leg will not fall back down, rendering the pant leg bloused until the restricting/retaining means or strap is released, which is easily accomplished by means of a quick release buckle on the strap or elastic band type restraining device. |
