SOLUTION: The inner lid removing device is so structured that when a chuck 65 is engaged with a first bush 13 (Fig.(a)), a controller lowers a pusher 103 of a pressurizing means 66 to separate a first valve element 15 from a first valve seat 14 (Fig.(b)). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically loosen an inner lid without a claw interfering with a protruding part of a container opening and without having the inner lid caught at the time of removing from a container the inner lid having the claw which is drawn inward in a radial direction when a valve in the inner lid is pushed in by including a process for pushing in the valve. SOLUTION: An inner lid 103 equipped with a valve 106 placed with a threaded part formed on its outer peripheral face so that the valve 106 can be pushed inward in its axial direction, has a claw 109 which is drawn inward in a radial direction from an outer peripheral face of an inner lid body 104 when the valve 106 is pushed in. The inner lid 103 is attached to a container neck 102 with the claw 109 protruding. When such an inner lid 103 is to be removed, a locking part of a wrench provided at a tip of a rotary axis having rotation transmission function and pressurizing function 13 locked with a rotational force support 111 of the inner lid body 104 to be rotated in a direction for loosening. In addition, a push at the tip of the wrench is made to protrude for pushing the valve 106 of the inner lid inward in the container, thereby causing the claw 109 to be retreated. CONSTITUTION: A bung tool 50 is provided with a cylindrical main body, and the main body is provided with a four-armed drive portion 65 projecting from one end thereof and a six-armed drive portion projecting from the opposite end thereof to be respectively engaged with different types of bungs. A drive member 70 runs in the axial direction on the main body and reciprocates up and down in a square crossing section axial bore, and the drive member can be moved manually by using a handle projecting radially through a slot 56 on the main body. A drive lug 85 set on a proper drive lever can be inserted into both ends of the bore to drive two drive sections 65. Apparatus and method for locating the bung opening of a container such as a drum. The container is rotated about its axis to move the bung opening along a generally circular path, and a locator pin with a pivotally mounted follower arm is positioned in the path of the opening so that the follower arm will travel along the wall of the container, then pivot and enter the opening when the pin is aligned with the opening. The pivoting of the follower arm is detected by an interruption of air flow through a discharge opening which is obstructed when the arm is in position to enter the opening.
