PURPOSE: To enable the effective float separation of dirty substance in a small area by forming a long flowline in a narrow occupying area, by forming a spiral flowline in a separation tank by providing a spiral partition plate in said tank.
CONSTITUTION: A spiral flowline is formed in a separation tank by partitioning the interior of said tank by a plurality of cylindrical bodies 71W76, which are concentric and becomes large in every same diameter and connecting plates 81W86. A fluid comprising an oil-water mixture is introduced into the separation tank from the fluid inlet 2b provided to the lower part of said tank. Oil is floated in the long flowline advancing from the cylindrical body 71 to the cylindrical body 76 by the difference of specific gravity to be gathered to an upper layer part and stored in the oil collecting part 4 provided to the upper part of the side wall in a protruded state and discharged from the oil outlet 4a thereof. The treated water is sent to the next process from the water outlet 5a of the water collecting part 5 provided to the lower part of the side wall 3 in a protruded state.

A process for eliminating solid substances from the exhaust gas (4) of combustion machines (1), particularly soot, is described, in which a suitable separating device (6) is used to produce from the main exhaust stream (4) of the combustion machine two part-streams, one (9, 10) of which is enriched with solid substances and the other (7) is to the greatest extent freed from solid substances. The enriched part-stream is then fed back to the intake side (2, 11) of the combustion machine, if appropriate with the assistance of metering devices (12). If a separating device operating on the principle of cyclone collectors is used, this arrangement does not require any additional expenditure on drives for separating devices or for the disposal of soot eliminated by separating devices. |

PURPOSE: To enable to separate and recover a powder in a gas in reduced power by inertia force and gravity by a method wherein powder containing air is introdued into a dust collector and rasied while revolved as well as reversed therein.
CONSTITUTION: The powder containing air from a grinder is introduced into a cylinder 12 from an inlet wind pipe 14. During a time when said air is flowed through a guide flow passage 15 and reached to a discharge space 19, a centrifugal force is acted on the powder in air and the powder is approached to an inner wall 12a. The powder which is pressed to the inner wall 12a and reached to the discharge space 19 is dropped along an inner wall part 13a by inertia force and gravity and discharged from a discharge port 24 of the discharge par 13. Air reached to the discharge space 19 is reversed at an idle end part 17a of a guide member 17 and entered into an inside space 16 from an opening part 20 and sucked and discharged from an outlet wind pipe 21 through a duct by a fan. In this time, the powder contained in air is dropped in the discharge space 19 by inertia force and gravity or collided to an inner wall part 13b and dropped to be discharged from the discharge port 24.
