CONSTITUTION: In (A) 100 parts by weight of a mixture cmprising (a) 80W95 parts by weight of a mineral consisting mainly of aluminum oxide and/or magnesium hydroxide, etc., and giving increased heat absorbing effect at 200W800°C, preferably at 200W650°C, and (b) 5W20 parts by weight of a composition consisting mainly of a thermoplastic resin, e.g. halogenated olefin, or a rubber, e.g. chloroprene rubber, is dispersed (B) 1W20 parts by weight of a short fiber-reinforcing material, e.g. glass fiber, preferably in the aqueous emulsion system. The composition is preliminarily formed, dried and hot-pressed to give a composite material having a voidage of 7W35 %, preferably of 10W25 %.
