CONSTITUTION: Sprinkling nozzles 2, 2a are provided on both sides of a coal storage pile 1, and the value measured with a wind vane and anemometer 3 is inputted to a control device 4. Control valves 5, 5a are operated by the signal of the device 4 to adjust the sprinkling pressure or rate of the nozzles 2, 2a. The adjustment is accomplished by operating the valves 5, 5a reverse to each other to change the sprinkling tracks 6, 7 from the nozzles 2, 2a of the case when there is no wind 10 in such a way that the sprinkling track from the nozzle 2 on the head wind side is made short and the sprinkling track from the nozzle 2a on the tail wind side is made long thereby changing the sprinkling pressure. The angle for sprinkling is further adjusted according to need. Actual sprinkling ranges 6a, 7a are thus maintained constant and always the desired sprinkling state is maintained.
