According to the disclosure, a keel comprises two keel halves (2a, 2b) which, by means of a power unit (6) and a power transmission system, are pivotal about a horizontal, longitudinally directed shaft (4a, 4b) or each about a shaft placed side-by-side and disposed in the upper region of the keel halves. This is achieved in that the keel is provided at its top with a frame (5) which has a substantially planar upper side apart from the keel bolts (10) which project upwardly from these upper sides.
